i was rolling up to a stop light, and this old bubble-looking celica rolls up next to me. i think it was a 1990 or something. it had those stupid washer nozzle lights and a huge aluminum wing (super rice) so i gave him a rev, and he looked at me and laughed. well i decided to hit it when the light turned green, and i got a good start on him (in my 90 se w/ just a pop charger), but then he blew me out of the water at like 20mph. and i heard turbo... it had a hood scoop, and then i remembered that a hood scoop came stock on celica alltracs, 4wd turbo. it was a mean car. and it didnt look like he had that many mods either. he whooped me big time.

 

He did have a 5speed, since that's all that was available in the 2.0 L all wheel drive turbo. It should be in the mid/low 15's stock, that would be my guess... Celica's are kinda heavy to "look" so fast.

 

how bad did he pull on you because he would have to have boosted it more to pull on you like that

but most likely you got hosed by a GT-four

the gt/turbo motor swap is over 6k done right
