Headlights Causing Stereo Noise!!!??

I have a 91 Maxima SE. Whenever I turn on my headlights, it creates a "humming" noise that comes out of my speakers. What the heck is going on?? I do have an RF modulated CD changer, if that's a possible reason?

THANKS

MAX

You don't have a good ground or your radio wires are budded up against another power source.

Specifics?

Could you be more specific as to which wire has a bad ground? Because it makes it impossible for me to know where to start if all I know is that there's a bad ground...
Obviously I'm not sure if you fixed yours yourself or had a shop do it, so I understand if you're not sure which wire it was etc...

I'm guessing that you have an aftermarket radio. You'll need to pull the radio out of the dash and have a voltmeter or test light to check this. Once you pull the radio out, there should only be one black wire comming out of the back of that radio. What I would suggest is trace out what that wire is connected to on the cars wiring and check it for voltage, on that wire, with the lights on. A lot of factory radios have displays that dim when the lights are on. Your ground may be connected to the wire that controls that. If there is voltage, you need to connect that black wire to a different ground. If you check it and there is no voltage, you may just need a better ground. Try connecting that black wire to the chassis of the car. Find a bolt or screw and bolt that black wire down. There is no better ground than the car itself. Good luck
