I took my k&n filter out today to wash it. I notice the two black wire that's close to the air filter is kinda melted. Is there anyone having this problem? Is it going to effect anything? thanks

Are you talking about the MAF wires, or the Air Temp sensor wires?

If so, get those checked out or replaced, they're pretty important, ESPECIALLY on a 2k2.

How did you melt them btw?

yup those 2 wires. it was touching the K&N air filter, I couldn't get them not touching it when I installed it about 6 months ago.
