1200 miles later: ACT Clutch

I am still loving this clutch. I only had this "chatter" that people so often speak of happen ONCE. I LOVE this clutch. ACT Stage 2 (street). I chrip 3rd with my heavy 17in Katanas. Its going to be fun once i put the 15s back on. Mwhaha. Anyone looking for a new clutch- go ACT.

Not hard at all. The only difference is the release point is a LOT sooner. You can just tap the clutch pedal and shift. Thats the only hard part about this clutch, IMHO - relearning the release point. Once you have that down its just like OEM only you can chirp 3rd

It's not bad once you get used to it but it does require more pressure than any OEM clutch. With that being said the ACT is still easy to use in traffic and I don't notice it. I like the added pressure because it gives me a better feel for engagement. I test drove an 2002 audi A4 5-speed last week and it felt like it took zero pressure to engage the clutch and I had a similiar experience with a friends civic after driving with my ACT.

I had a funky stock clutch, and since I've put my ACT in it's been easier to push the clutch pedal down. I still get a bit of first gear chatter, I really wish it'd go away, but over time (been about 5000 miles now) it seems to be getting progressively a little better and better.

Mine went in sunday. . . I have no chatter as I would call it, but has anyone experienced any slight slipping? When I get on the freeway and shift at about 3K from 3rd to 4th, it feels like it slips a little then engages. Doesn't do it in any other gears. I got a lightened flywheel so that could be part of the reason, but I just thought I would see what others have to say. It grabs hard though and I like how it runs. Much better than stock. I do feel the pedal is much stiffer, but finding the release point is easy now.
