need help! problem with my stock cd player

I was listening to the CD, and decided to change to another CD.
The CD would get half way in & just stuck there. Than I get a error message "CD ERROR F3"
can someone help me before I can go to dealer next week?
thanks

take the CD out.. and do 1 of two things.

1) disconnect the battery so the radio loses power..
2) pull the radio out and disconect the harness so the radio loses power..

chances are you will do number 1..

i can't gurantee it will fix it.. but its a start..

thanks sprintmax, haven't see you on here for awhile!!
I'll try that tomorrow, too tired/lazy to do it today.
btw, is it gonna mess up my factory alarm by disc batterY?
thanks again

not sure.. and i don't want to say 100% that it wont.. but if your battery died.. i wouldn't see you having to go to the dealership to have it reset.. i know on the 97 it doesn't mess it up.. but i am not sure about the technology in the 2k2.. so you might want to keep that in mind also..

It may be the thickness of the CD, pull it out and compared the CDs.I had the same problem and that's what it was. After I pulled the Jammed CD out, I put one in I know would play and I never had that problem again..So in my case it was that one CD.

I've been listening to that CD for awhile now, didn't have any problem until today. I tried to put some other CDs in there, same results

am I the only 5th or 2k2 that's been having problem with my HU?
btw, I put aftermarket speakers & amps & subs in my car, but I don't think that would be the cause of this problem? Just wanted to make sure, before dealer give me some BS

No, those things wouldn't be the cause. it's something with your CD unit itself. But I couldn't honest pen-point the problem myself. Sorry
