Does Wheel weight affect you throughout the whole race?
My 27.7 lb enkeis dont like to pull like the stock steelies and i want to race me friends new 2000 svt contour, stock 97 auto Gxe with those rims.. should i race him from a stop or a rolling start im thinking im gonna lose with the rims on but dont really care just wondering if the weight of the rims affects ur starting accell or even if a rolling start from say 30 thnx peace

I had the same combination with 25lb wheels of the same dimension and it was a tad slower....enough to feel the difference. I think you're beeter off from a roll. I think that'd hurt you off the line from a dead stop. I noticed that with my UDP, Brembo 13" 2-piece lightweight rotors, and my 17 lbs wheels, my car launches from 0-40 much faster. I had the same combination with 25lb wheels of the same dimension and it was a tad slower....enough to feel the difference. I think you're beeter off from a roll.
