I got a 2K2 SE and I backed into something yesterday and bent my muffler. There is a slight bend in the pipe that leads to the muffler and the tips on the muffler is all bent. The muffler was hanging down, but I managed to rebend it back into place, but not the same.

Can I just replace the muffler, without replacing the b pipe? What aftermarket muffler is good for the maxima?

I did that once, my muffler was fine it was the piping that got tweaked, I had to get part of the piping replaced.

Get the piping fixed or rebent at a muffler shop, and get new tips, it'll be cheaper then a whole muffler.

THe muffler is still fine I'm sure.

its done for, just grab a screw driver and start poking holes in the muffler
