This site will give you more info on the MDM. I used one on my 240, and '92 Max. Very nice.

Here is a list of current vehicle applications:
http://www.technosquareinc.com/nissan.htm

I've talked to them about the 5th gens and I sent them schematics, but they didn't think they could "easily" modify it to work.

They did say they are currently working on an OBD-II model, which would work with pretty much ANY '96+ vehicle.

First, I wish there was an easy solution for the OBD II and 97+. Secondly, I wish this unit did miles per gallon and exhaust temperature. But this unit does a lot of readings for the $$.

Update...

Just got an email back from Danny at Technosquare(www.technosquareinc.com) about the CMX-100N2. He just verified it works on a 350Z, so theoretically, it should also work on the 2K2 Maxima. I'm still not convinced it will work on the 2K-2K1 VQ30. However, he also said they were expecting the OBD-II version of the MDM-100N anytime now, which should work on any '96+ Nissan vehicle.

If you don't know what is a CMX-100, check here:
http://www.technosquareinc.com/cmx.htm

According to Danny the CMX-100N2 will display: speed, ignition timing, water temp, intake air temp, air flow meter voltage, battery voltage, and rpm, but ONLY one at a time.

Supposedly, the MDM-100N has the capability to display some of these parameters depending on the model, but two at a time:
http://www.technosquareinc.com/mdmnis.htm
http://www.technosquareinc.com/nissan.htm

Danny also says, "Yes there is a group purchase pricing. It will be divided into 1-9, 10-25, and 25+", so hopefully we can get them discounted. No pricing is available yet.

I'd rather have the MDM-100, but I'll take the CMX-100 if that's all that's available. Keep us posted as to any GD on either item. I will put up a new string to see if any one is interested.

Any updates on this....... I know they list applications for only 95-96 model year and they were supposed to be developing some newer applications...

The thread is about a group deal for this device AND availability of a unit for 97 and newer.
