Hyper Ground System Wires...who's interested

OK
We have a slightly better discount on the Hyper Ground. XS will do $114, but will have to tax those that are in Ca. Apparently Sun Auto has a contract with the distributors against discounting the prices. I think XS is going to make an expection with this group deal. I spoke with Daiji at Sun Auto and I told him that a lot of people aren't so thrilled with the discount since they are out of state anyways and probably won't pay Ca state tax.
The other issue is the quantity. Neither Sun Auto of XS has enough sets of the silver wires (I think they look the best also the silver and gold wires performing better). They are expecting more in the beginning of September. As for an update on my car, I'm pleased with the Hyper Ground...not so pleased with my car. I received my G-tech and I really don't think mine is all too accurate or reliable. I ran two quarter miles at 15.2 at 96.7 MPH (which seems really off). My 0-60 times were 6.37 sec and my HP measured at 162. I think I'm going to take my G-tech to the track to determine the error.
On a good note, I drove my car 184 miles (all street driving) filled up the tank at the same station and same pump...got 24 MPG (this includes the two quarter miles, the HP measure, and the 0-60 runs). I have a full tank of gas now and have a lot of mixed driving to do.

The G-techs are known to be pretty inaccurate, aren't they?

Kevin-
Exactly what wires are included in this kit? Do you have any pics? How many wires are there, and which components do they connect?
I know that you are not going to make any money off of this, so it is not like you are fudging things here to make a buck, so if you could tell us which wires they are, people like me (who have worked with stereos) can decide whether they could construct a similar kit from stereo or welding wire.
Given what is sounds like this does, stereo installers can at LEAST attest to the gains in interion accessories such as A/C and stereo, as well as starter/alternator/battery longevity, headlight output, and the overall effectiveness of most electrical components (such as starters and ignition systems). Theoretically, these could produce hotter sparks with less heat being "trapped" in various components due to insufficient ground.
I am rambling now, but I would like to hear responses to my questions at the top, please...

I've been running a similar setup for a while now. I can't tell if its has given any performance gains. If it has, it may be very small. I can say that it is a good benefit to your electrical system. Your accessories seem to work effortlessly. You can put the same setup together yourself for a little cheaper. Not by that much though because wires can get pretty expensive. Especially if you want it to look as good. I think its a great mod, but not for those looking for power.

yep
Eric at XS can do a group deal for us, but both XS and Sun Auto are low on the silver wires for this month. There is another shipment coming in from Japan in mid September. I'm going to get back into contact with Eric to finalize on the pricing.

I was in LA last week and I stopped at Sun Auto and they wouldn't discount a dime. Then I went to XS and the best deal I could get was $169.00 (silver) for the bigger L type kit for cars with trunk mounted batteries. The list price is $188.50 so I got a 10%
discount, no BFD. I hope you can do better!

Yeah, I'm not so happy with the "discount" either. Daiji was their guy that went to Japan and just returned today. I spoke with him today and that was the price he gave. That's the best he was willing to do. I'm going to try with Eric Hsu at XS and see how much he'd be willing to sell a deal for. I figure there's about 30+ kits in this deal and I would have liked to see the kits discounted more.

OK, If you guys really want to pay $130 for a couple of wires that essentially do the same thing be my guest. Yes they do work, the ebay set is cheesy because it uses thin wires. I had purchased a ground wire from http://www.activetuning.com/products/map/nissan/maxima/ (it is athick one 4awg not 8 like the cheap ebay set for $15) - works great also BlemCo has a set for about $50 as well. There cannot be that much difference between the wires - all they do is connect from the battery terminal to the body/engine/headlights/tranny or whatever you really want.
Think about it -this is not for audio (no engine noise to worry about) so really it doesn't matter it is just electrical ground - it's better to use thicker wires thats all price difference between $50 and $130 (why???)!
Make a decision, but keep in mind what you are really paying for will get you the same results. Also I am pretty sure that the Maxima computer will adjust to more current and reset to the factory setting so you will loose the power after a few days - you'll see.
