Sorry, I've been moving...and have been super busy. I sent tracking numbers to everyone that was supposed to get the VI today...the delay was that the money that I transferred took like 6 days to hit his acct. So, he had the money on the 14th and shipped the 16th because he was out of the office on the 15th. One slight problem is Nissan didn't deliver the correct gasket for your kit...which he should have today and should be shipping the 19th. Again I apologize for the inconvience.

You are correct the VI should be shipping out the 1st week of december sometime. So, the 2nd half is due at the end of this month or beginning of next month.

Harlan sent out my first set of switches for the first nine kits I made for orders done earlier. But, waiting on a second shipment of RPM switches and dawes device to complete the new kits.

The kits will arrive probably a week before the VI. I'll wait for the second payment and ship them. Putting in the order now for the extra parts I need, just got the other kits out last week. Hope that helps.

Some people don't use it and it works fine. Definitely look at the VI trouble shooting threads to see what people have recommended.

About the kits I didn't include relay because they were causing a lot of trouble with several people and every VI that I've installed I haven't used it and haven't had any problem Takes away the guess work on the the wiring and what is causing the problem...so I decided not to include it because it was causing more headaches and problems for most people.

anyone know the polarity on the harlan switch?like red (+),small black inside the 3 wires in the rubber sleeve(?),green (input from tach)and the bigger black wire alone (is this the - output to the control solenoid)thanx!

 

Red wire is positive
Green wire is tach wire
Black wire inside harness is ground
Black wire outside of harness is switched ground for solenoid

I don't have a VI, but I have the Harlan window switch, which is the same as the RPM switch just with another RPM point to turn "something" off. But I assume you hook it up to the relay.

 

john, do you have any word on when my VI should arrive? just curious. I think I am going to make an appt with the speed shop to install it. Thanks

Hi john,i wonder if you have any upper gasket(14033-38U00) o ring(14515-40F00) in stock,or can you order 1 of each for me,next time when you order your VI from your supplier.I just want to have one spare just in case,do you thing that any nissan dealer can order them if they had the part #.Thanx!

It should be arriving 2nd week of December sometime because it should be shipping the the 1st week sometime...no definite time frame thought becuase of the Holidays and stuff everything was kind of a mess. But I'll let you know when it goes out.

You can try to order it from a Nissan on dealer but every Nissan dealer I've gone to just say that it isn't in there system so they can't order it for me. I'm thinking of getting a cover..so when I do...I'll order those parts for you. I hear you alway nice to have a replacement gaskets.

Sorry about the slow response..my contact was suposed to ship them before he went on his Business trip on the 18th...which obviously didn't happen or if it did he didn't send me the tracking info and he'll send it when he gets back. Which is a stinker...and the kit I'm waiting again on the beloved RPM switch...I placed the order on 12/2 and he said he had them in and I've still not recieved it. The other bad thing is that Dawes Device stopped selling the dual stage switch which we use to have the vacuum open up and turn the VI on. He said he would get back to me on 12/6 of where I can buy it so it looks like I'm going to have to go to the junk yard and find Map/baro switches off 3rd gen maxima's and some pulsars...which sucks because my junk yards charge me the same fee that dawes was.

yes. John's supplier went on vacation. click on the previous page, and you'll see where he told me that. how long have you been waiting now

 

I knew that he had gone on a business trip, I e-mailed John and still haven't gotten a reply, usually he is quick to respond so I was just seeing if anybody had heard anything since the 18th. I sent the rest of my money in about a month ago.

 

I heard from him about a week ago. He explained to me that his provider got confused with the orders and transfr of money to John's acct. He said they are working it out, but there will be a delay of about 2 weeks.
