Can you tell me the exact weight of the pulley? How big is it compared to the URP or RVM's pulley? Thanks, JsL.

Same size as the UR Pulley, just weighs a little less, here are both pulleys on a scale. Keep in mind our pulley has a Bronze bushing installed on it, UR only has a Steel, its not even stainless, so it is prone to rusting.

It sits on your crank so I didnt think it was to important. But you can buy a red, black and silver one from Unorthodox for $190 if you are interested.

Out of curiosity how is ur's compared to RVM's pulley?

Well the one we make is lightened a lot more, we also use a bronze bushing which I am not sure what RVM uses if they even use one.

Could you help me understand what exactly is the bushing for? The collar on the pulley doesn't rub anywhere does it? It's attached to the crank and it's not going to move laterally. I'd also like to know if there is a diameter difference between yours/UR and RVM's. I may be interested in getting one of yours and selling the RVM I just bought.

The bushing on the pulley, or any crank pulley for that matter spins while rubbing on the motor, the Bronze we used is stronger then steel which means it will last longer and is better suited for this application. The reason a bushing is used is because if it was just aluminum, it would wear(after awhile, but bronze still lasts for the life of the car) out and oil would leak out of the motor.

I am not sure of RVMs size, but I believe its the same size as mine and it weighs much less.

I haven't seen the stock one yet or any of the aplication for that matter. Isn't there a seal behind the pulley? The seal can't be attached to the pulley can it?
Did you make a mistake or are you really saying the RVM weighs less.

The Pulley sits on the crank, but the bushing....well that part on the pulley where the bushing is, touches the engine block because otherwise if it didnt, oil would squirt out around it. I dont know how else to explain it, you kind of neeed to know how a crank shaft sits and how a crank pulley sits to close the gap.

I had to chance the belts on my 2K yesterday, auction cars are ok for the price, but some need some TLC.
I might get 2 Pulleys.

Also could u tell us what belts we need, I'm looking at different post that suggest the GATES K060408 and GATES K040300 belts but that they squeak...and people are using a different belt. Let us know bud.

Those are the only belts I know of that fit. Of the people that have purchased my pulley, only 1 had those belts squeek because he didnt tighten them down right.

Also I am aware that on the Altima 3.5 you do not need to replace the Power Steering belt. I am not sure if that is the same on your guys Maximas, but if it fits, it might be fine, but talk to your mechanic before doing so, since I am not sure how it is on a Maxima.

Hey Nick out of curiosity the UDP seemed to be a lil different on the 3.5 then the 3.0....can u confirm that urs will be good to go out the box with no mods since I see u guys have the same part number on both the 3.0 and 3.5.

3.0 motors need the timing ring.
3.5 motors don't need the timing ring.

I never checked, and both my cars are 3.0.

Please confirm these units have the timing rings or if they can be removed. Gotten this far, would hate to drop out of the deal.

They fit both cars. The timing ring does not come with any pulley, thats just used to set the timing once its installed.

I know they fit, but 3.0 motors need the timing ring. That reference sensor is gonna go bonkers w/o the ring. Before we go any further, please make sure 100% that these have the timing ring for 3.0 motors. If the timing ring is included, then I'll stay in, but if not, I have to drop from the GD.

I guess you are referring to that timing ring, so my mistake it wont fit the 4th gen Maxima, good looking out.

If the timing ring is on there, then it will fit 95-01 Maximas, w/o the ring for 02-03 Maximas.

So it's safe for me to say now that this group deal is only good for 2k2-2k3 max's??? Wow it pays to do ur research, 3.0 guys would of bought for nothing...honest mistake though.
