no go on making that pattern same as the shift ****.

I do not think the quadruple or 4 way stitching is the same as this. Let me know if we cna do this. Also in a previous post he said he would include the "special" stitching for free. I realize the nominal fee is not bad, just thought I would mention it though.

If it does not work, go to:
http://www.sportscar-parts.com/shift_knobs.html and it is almost halfway down the page. Click it to enlarge to see the stitching.

Thank you again so much for doing this group deal!

I am still totally in regardless of the shift ****.
I totally understand the 4 way as the 4 lines of stitching.
I am still not totally sure about the quadrupple alone is.

I am interested in getting my leather like in the pic sprint posted with the dark grey/light grey two-tone leather:
http://www.sprintmax.com/othercars/v...ts&id=DSC00811
What are the leather colors on that? Please email me more info on your leatherseats.com order please :>

Back on topic: On the boots, is that dark grey or light grey stitching to match that two-tone leather?

Thanks again!

light gray color stitching to match the 2 tone on his seats. you can't see it too well due to the flash of the camera.
Dan

edit: if you're REALLY in then let's see that email or PM on your contact info. talk is cheep!

I don't know man but in looking at the boots I don't really see much difference between 4th and 5th gens. Is there really that much difference that they wouldn't fit the 5th gen?

Either way, I'm in for the 5th gen ones when they come in.

i rather have them fit right for you and other 5th gens then get 1000 complaints that they don't fit. i rather not try to "rig" anything..because that just makes p1ssed off customers.

But I'd rather custom fit a 4th gen one than stay with the stock crap...

Please keep me updated on your decision to make 5th gen boots (hopefully before the 4th gen group deal is over) via email or PM.

the problem with the 5th Gen is not if the boot is tall or short enough.. its if the metal support that is run in the boot is the same for the 4th Gen than is for the 5th Gen..

if they are close in size.. then it might work.. but then again you might try and one is 3 inches longer or shorter.. then the boot won't fit..

this is what i am talking about

if someone is really really really really intersted in getting it for a 5th Gen.. pull your console off.. and measure the dimensions of the rod .. the sides and legth all around..

feel free to use my picture and edit it in photoshop to show the measure ment around.. if you let them know.. they might be willing to do it for you..

Danny, is this picture of 4-way double stitch or
4-way quad stitch? I'm ready to send an email to
you with my order but I would like mine to look
just like this pic as far as the stitching goes!

thanks,

I am in.

I have that brown color on the e-brake, but at this point, I don't care.

I'll take the shifter and e-brake boots in black please, standard stitching is fine.

You have mail.

it looks like standard stitching...but it could be quad stitching...hard to tell in the pic.

this is quad
http://boots.hypermart.net/images/Sentra3.jpg

quadruple stitching is two rows of stitching together, one inside the other.

4-way stitching is 4 lines of stitching, one per each wall of the boot.

Yes as I said, I do see 4 lines and thus is is 4 way............
I do not see quad stitching. 4 way and quad are different stitch types, I Just want to see a quad up close that is not 4 way.

ok ok...we're talking about 2 different things.
i was referring to the orig boot that was posted from boo NOT the one i posted.

the quad makes the stitching heavy..color have more of an impact on the overall boot. so the boot in the pic has quad..do you not see the heavy silver line?

so once again...
quadruple stitching is two rows of stitching together, one inside the other.

4-way stitching is 4 lines of stitching, one per each wall of the boot.

also once again there are no other pics avail for just the quad stitching.

so...
4 way - FOUR SEPARATE LINES
QUAD - TWO STITCHING TOGETHER SIDE BY SIDE MAKING TWO HEAVY LINES

What do you want on your order?

Sprint :

DanNY, just so you understand, I'm not trying to rush you on the 5th gen boots, I'm only mentioning it because they looked very similar to me. If the 4th & 5th gen dimensions (see my previous post on the 5th gen dimension) are very similar I'm willing to give it a try. If the dimensions are significantly different I'll simply wait until they're available.

Also, on a side note, I'm assuming that there is no special fitment for the e-brake boot.

Thanks.

DanNY,

I am interested in this deal. I am also waiting to see what is going on with the brown e-brake boot. If you can get one to match, count me in. I think brown is the only color that would go with the brown handle.

2K2 - if i had a spare 4th gen boot i would say give it a test fit..but i don't. personally i would like to get you guys the right boot...not a universal application. don't worry the 5th gen ones are in the works.

maxfan - we're trying our best to get the right color.

thanks guys,

I was hopeing we could get the $45 price but if we can get the brown e-brake boot to match the center console fairly close I will be in. I think I will post in the old thead so anyone who has email notification on can learn about the new GD. Jepht20 found this pic of soon2bmaxed's interior for me. Errr... I'm holding out for brown.

Hey,

that Sentra3.jpg pic is actually both: it's 4-way quad stitching.

I don't have any GOOD pictures of quad stitching only (without the 4-way)... You can see my 89-92 RX7 page for one, but it's blurry and overall crap, so I'm not going to post it here.

I personally think that quad stitching ROCKS if you have a two-tone interior. You can then match one row to one interior color and the other one to the other interior color. Or the other one to the exterior if you like. It's GREAT.

4-way stitching will stick out too much for my taste in a interior that has cool, elegant colors. If you have red seats and gray center console - black with red and gray would look good. But if it's toned down color your interior is furnished in, don't go for quad is what I'd suggest.

Hope that helps!
Maciek

UPDATE ON BROWN LEATHER

Hey all,

brown leather e-brake boot is a go, but here's how.

If you want both boots from brown leather - no problem. If you want one from black leather, the other from brown leather - I need to doublecheck if the texture of the leather is going to be the same for both.

What I would REALLY APPRECIATE from you is, if you could email DanNY ASAP with your info, but please specify that your taking part in the GB is dependant on the black shift boot/brown ebrake boot combo being available.

We need to know how many people have that preference.

Thank you!
Maciek
