As far as sticking them on, I think im going to use some "car glue", i have no idea what it is, but a friend of mine said it holds mad good, but will come off if needed.

edit: when to autozone today and asked the guy there what might be good to use, he told me to try JbWeld, apparently some glue or compound that holds up to like 3621 psi of pressure hehe, though im not sure, if it hold that good then if I ever took the CF pillars off it would definately require heat and possibly something to pry it off, probably take the paint with it . Friend of mine used it to hold his body kit on, on his wrx..so maybe

I received mine last week...I've put them on...before I did, I had to do the following to "prep" them:

-- sand the edges (fibers was sticking out)
-- with a black marker, I had to color in the chipped clear coat.

I placed them on...they look OK...not great.
My concern is that the top cut is not even close to flush with the
car's body...it's about a 1/2 inch too short.

I'll put pics up shortly so that you can see what I mean...

I posted this in the capvent deal that went wrong.. hope osmeone can get some more good ideas off of this...

For all those who don't want to send these back and take the loss, I suggest getting any kind of window tint film that matches your car and place it over the CF pieces as to change their appearance due to the discoloring. This works best on red, burgundy, green, and blue cars. It also kind of hides any scratches for those who got the scratched/cracked ones from the other CF deal. 2 layers makes it look pretty amazing. I had done this to my cracked tails before my accident (i only had this "mod" for like 3 days). I used 2 layers of 70% window tint film (or adhesive translucent film) and the suckers were so shiny that you couldn't see the cracks because of the glare of the light or reflection that you get. The tint spray might also work and may be even easier to apply. With both, you have to be sure to be careful when washing the car as some rags or cloth might slightly scratch the surface.

Also, the layers of tint film (if wrapped around) might get you some extra length maybe at least 1/8" on all sides if you wrap it right.

I'm thinking of grabbing a set of these off of anyone who wants to dump them so I can experiment. Hmm... how about reflective tint? lol.. now that's getting even more rice.
