hey u guys i found us another vendor that's willing to sponser the obx cat-back for 4gen max, i will check to see if they have it for 5gen...they have plenty in stock...price is $295 shipped..i'm just waiting for them to give me info on how to start this...so i'm just gather interest right now...so far:

If you could ask for some actual pictures taken by the vendor, ie. not the ones from the OBX website or whatever, that'd be great. There seems to be several different OBX cat-backs for the maxima so it's just a little bit confusing. Depending on how long this will run for, I might be interested.

 

OBX doesnt make um for 5th gen

 

i will ask the vendor for actual pics...so we'll know which cat-back tips we'll get...

Just so everyone knows, I believe they make them for 95-96, 97-98 and "99+". I recently recived mine (finally) from the last group deal. My car is a 99, and on the package the label said 99+ Maxima. Good luck, I am going to have mine installed this wednesday so I will let you know how it sounds then.

bad news...the vendor verify that they have 5gen in stock but not for 4gen..they should get in shipment within a month or so..but the price is still $295 shipped when they have in stock...

 

How do they have em for the 5th gen?... I don't think they exist.

 

i'm in if '95 obx catbacks come in stock (the same ones that were going for $290 in an earlier group deal).

 

Well, I just received my OBX catback today. The muffler section is round like the Greddy Evo and I think they sent me the wrong B pipe cuase I have a 99 and it didn't have the O2 bung in there. Since I had waited long enough I went ahead and let the shop modify it. They just had to cut it short and rewelded it.
This exhaust is remarkably quit, I mean QUIET..... I almost sound stock when at idle and just enough of a low grow at WOT before the intake (frankencar) takes over.
I am very please because I didn't want a loud exhaust at all. The inner diameter of the pipe is about 2.25 thought and the tip is 4.5.
