Hi Jeff- I've gotten Hawk HPS brakepads for Wilwood application (for Mitch33x on the .org). Considerably less dusting, quiet and performs great. There is Hawk HP+ version available too, for autocross/track purposes.

Wilwood application:
$130/set for Hawk HPS
$155/set for Hawk HP+

No Portofeels... those were my first set of replacement pads when I swapped out my OE ones. Though they are great pads, I hated cleaning all the brakedust. I still have Porterfield rear pads on the Max.

Hawk HPS is just about as great as those Porterfield pads at 40% cheaper.

Yes, discount pricing apply to 3rd and 5th gen Maximas, Infinitis as well.
Email or call for availability of pads for a specific application.
PS- I'm not offering discount on Ultimates since Soundmike is conducting a groupdeal for those right now.

Need front pads.

Hi, I currently have Axxis Metal Master front and rear with Dimpled - Slotted rotor, my front brake cant probably hold for another week or two, the rear one are still very good until next summer. The Axxis are good pads but a little rough and dusty, would you suggest to replace with the Hawk ? Let me know asap cuz I need to order like yesterday I dont want to shot the rotors.

Cheers

2 questions:
Do the raybestos have the holes for the pins/wire things that keept the pads of the rotors?
Has anyone experienced noise from the raybestos?

i was thinking about going oem but i hate to buy anything from the dealer. im worried about noise from the pads.
also do you need to resurface or do anything else to your rotors when you put on new pads?(i put on brembo oem replacements about 6 months ago)

if they raybestos are cheaper than oem and meet my requirements im in.

thanks

Hi- I've been using Hawk HPS pads on my front (Stillen Big Brakes) and they are excellent. I highly recommend them.

I haven't had any customers complain about Raybestos QS pads.. good product for the money.

I haven't seen the condition of your rotors, nor am I a mechanic. I can't tell you if you're in need of resurfacing your rotors.

As I've mentioned on prior post, I believe you can reuse the stock shimkit (the pins/wire thing you're talking about).

I originally had the Wilwood Q series pads, (pads that come with the kit) and they dusted like a **** on crack

Ange got me some Hawk HPS, I like them a lot so far, much less dust.

Hi Billy-
Yes I do. Will confirm that with the distributor shortly.

Latinmax- I will need to get in touch with Hawk to see if they make brakepad application for the z-brakes.

Angie, please verifythat Axxis MetalMaster REAR pads are available for a 2002 Maxima. There is discussion going around that Axxis does not make rear pads for 2002 Maximas.

No Axxis pads for the rear. Best that you go with Raybestos Quietstop pads for the rear.

I have a 2000 Maxima and it needs brakes and the dealer and midas both want outrageous prices. the car has 40K on it and supposedly the rear pads are almost toast and the fronts are 1/2 gone. They want to install new pads all around and resurface all the rotors. Now after telling you my entire life story, the reason I'm writing is because it seems that I can get new rotors and pads for about the same as they want to put **** on my car. How much would it cost for good rotors and pads for my car? I'm not looking for looks, I just want it to stop safely. I appreciate the time and I hope we can do some buisness.

for rotors go to tirerack.com, i got brembo oem replacements all four for 218 shipped, arrived in two days and they are fantastic(you can also say you have brembos)

on a side note i recieved my pads in less than a week from this deal(rabestos quiet stops) and have since installed the front pads, they are completely silent and have also eliminated the groaning noise i used to get when coming to a stop. they perform much better than the oem pads as i had no fade running through the hills around fall creek falls state park TN last week.

Thanks Ange
