How about ecu upgrade for the 97+, and none of this "I can get a 96 ecu for an additional $150 and have a permanent CEL bs."

I do. Talked with them Monday and was told the same as you.

I'll be sending Danny pics of both the '97 ECU board and '96 ECU board to see if he wants to take a stab at the OBD2 changes. Although there are good gains to be had I'm still disturbed that we lose a bit of HP by using the mis-matched ECU's. Cheston lost a combined 4.1hp/tq and I show a 3.3hp/tq loss to start with.
Stock '96 ECU (Run001) vs '97 ECU (Run002)

If anybody can open their '98 box up and send me good board (and chip) pics I'll forward that over to TS as well.

They don't have cores. You have to mail yours in. Takes about 3 days to get it back. Contact Technosquare to confirm.

Does this ECU raise the rev limiter to 7200? If so I might be interested for Christmas Time.

Thanks,
-Nick

I have a 96 5spd ecu done by Technosquare in the 4th gen and general for sale forum. No wait and no core needed, sorry to ***** up this thread but thought I would just make others aware.

Sorry, I'm out of the possible GD. Bought David's (AllGo) ECU instead. Gonna do some Auterra testing between that and JWT programs for now.

I'm back in the GD as David sold his ECU to someone else. I've been told TS is working on removing the rev limiter right now. Oh and this works or 95-96 with no CEL. 97-98 with possible CEL.

I would be interested if this was two months from now. So this involves sending them my ECU right. And they are sure or don't know if it trips CEL. What is so bad about CEL being on? Just as long as it gives codes correctly.
