GD: Motostorm (PHSInvent) Underdrive Pulleys $100 shipped
Well. Guess what came in the mail today? Thats right. One Aluminum under drive crank pulley from Motorstorm. I mus say that the quality is exceptional. Nice removable timing ring that the 3.5 guys can remove so that they can use the same pulley. For us 3.0 guys, the allen screws holding the timing ring are thread locked in, so theres no concern of them backing out. The bronz backing ring is also very nicely done. I'm going to get belts tomorrow, and see if I can locate a delaer who can get me a front seal, and then its install time. I will let everyone know how the gains feel. FYI, I am 5-speed, and I'm not sure of the differences between 5-speed and auto. As for Motostorm themselves. My money was received last Wednesday 12/24/03, I don't blame them in the least for not shipping it Christmas day. I even consider it above and beyond that they got it out the day after Christmas. It shipped that Friday 12/26/03 and got here today Monday 12/29/03. I am very impressed. Props to Motorstorm. Thank you Tyler for bringing this to us. Here's your free bump.

Right now I am going to extend a special offer to the first 2004 buyer of this pulley. Here is the deal. You pay the full $100 up front to order the item. This offer is only for the first person, and only apply's to a documented fitment case. Contact me via email at SwimmerTy@aol.com if you are interested.
The timing ring is there. I will try to post side by side pics today. I happen to have a stock pulley laying around from an old motor. Oh. BTW, Tyler. Do y'all want that stock pulley to make stock sized Lightened pulleys? I'll donate!

Yep. They sure do. No codes for me after installation this afternoon.
For those of you with some mechanical knowledge, I will say that you can do this install yourself. It took me a total of about 3 hours. An hour and a half of that was attempting to remove the bolt on the stock pulley. The power steering belt tensioner is a bit difficult to get to. There are two brass bolts in the tensioner. One that screws in from the side. This is the one you need to loosen first. Then loosen (by turning clockwise) the bolt that screws in from the bottom. This will drop down the Power steering pump to where the belt will slack up. It is best to drop the pump down as far as it will go. The A/C and alternator belt tensioner is much easier to get too. First loosen the bolt on the idler pulley. Then loosen the tnsioner bracket from the top near the timing chain cover and the front valve cover under the hood. That will slack up that belt. Then you can finish removing the stock pulley. Mine was soo tight I thought Thor had put the damn thing on. A large breaker bar is the way to go.
As for the performance side. It feels as though the power band has been lengthened. First second and the first and middle part of third pull real hard. I won't say it feels like alot of horsepower, just feels like it pulls hard. I love it. Torque steer is increased as well. I definately like. A great buy.

Starts maybe take about a tenth of a second longer than normal, but no noticable problems. I also have a small system in the trunk, but I have not noticed any problems. No headlight dimming or anything. Pulley works great. Plus the joy of installation on my own adds to the enjoyment.
Deal is still on... Payment can be sent via paypal.com to PHSInvent@aol.com

Hey guys, got the pulley today. I can say the product is well design, the copper ring is tight and well seated, the timing ring also is well fit and tight, cant wait to install and see the result.
One little thing I found though, there is a bit of stickyness and dirt-dust on the pulley, but I'm shure it's will go easily with a solvent, there is also some very light scratch, like if it was sand a little after the polishing. With a light polishing it will be perfect, to my taste, it's not something that would make me want to return the product or something but I though it would be informative to give my impressions, based on the visual inspection I made, on the unit I receive.
Overall I'm quite satisfied, I didn't had to spend 200$
for the pulley and it was a pleasure dealing with Brett so that's fair enough for me.
Cheers
