GD: Motostorm (PHSInvent) Underdrive Pulleys $100 shipped

The lightest Aluminum underdrive pulley made for the 1995-2003 Nissan Maxima,1996-2002 Infiniti I30/I35, 2002-2004 Nissan Altima 3.5 liter. The concept here is rather simple, your stock pulley weighs close to 6 lbs and these pulleys weigh in near 1 lb. This reduction in weight allows your engine and crank to become more productive once the huge, heavy stock pulley is replaced by one of these. Expect anywhere from 6-11 horsepower just by bolting on one of these pulleys. Just because these pulleys are extremely light doesn't mean they aren't strong, each pulley is carefully machined from a solid mass of 6061 T6 aluminum which is well known for it's strength and lightweight. These pulleys were 3D computer designed, tested and manufactured by Motostorm Inc. (http://www.motostorm.com/) The completed design has been street and track tested for a total of one year before the release of these pulleys. Each pulley is hand inspected and computer balanced before final packaging. Not only are these pulleys the lightest but each pulley has a bronze oil seal bushing located on the back side for added safety and wear. Also included is the superlight aluminum/ferrous tipped crank sensor timing plate and detailed installation instructions.

Cost on these is $100 shipped

Payment can be accepted on these immediately paypal to PHSInvent@aol.com
Make sure to include an address to ship the item to, the $100 payment, and mention you are with the Maxima.org Group Deal

These Items are in stock. This pulley was designed by looking at the problems that other companies have had in the past and fixing them first (RVM). Then the pulley was re-designed even further.

Please respond with any questions, and also post when you send payment.

Thx
Tyler

We will be running this group deal until we have generated a good ammount of interest or our stock is completed, so probably a fair ammount of time.

I am not sure on the exact models of the belts, I can get that information from you but I am 99.9% sure that they are the same belts you use on any UDP. I will check on that.

At this time we are not offering any other pulleys then this one, sorry.

This pulley is lighter then the Unorthadox Pulley, I will get exact details and post later.

The belts needed are

alternator A/C Gates K060408 or K060410
Power steering Gates K040300

These can be cross referenced at a local parts store

As far as the comparison is concerned the reason this UDP is cheaper then the rest simply is because our overhead is much lower then any other companies.
This pulley is also lighter then any other pulley on the market resulting in greater gains. A picture of it on top of a digital scale can be taken on request.

The belt sizes and numbers are also included in the written instructions.

One question, any idea about how long it would take a competent mechanic to install the pulley? I'm assuming not much more than an hour, but I could be terribly wrong. Seems like a good mod for the money but labor might get ya.

Customer Feedback...

I bought this pulley for $110 2 weeks ago, this is a good deal. The belts will run you an extra $40 and you can get them from any Advance Auto, NAPA, Autozone, etc.

As for quality, this pulley is second to none. I have not installed it yet so I cannot tell you the true durability, but it is a solid, well-build piece. The copper ring is tight and perfectly circular. The pulley is polished well and has no flaws. You CANNOT beat this deal. Five minutes after I heard about this pulley, I called and ordered knowing that Brett from Motostorm would make a great product. I ordered it the next day, and as expected it is a great product.

Install is about an hour depending on how quick you work and your technical skill. Not impossible.

Mecca thats a tough question.... What is your current draw in amps constant for your system?

A stock alt makes about 80 amps at idle and increases to roughly 135 in the powerband

The UDP makes about 60 at idle and increases along the same curve to maybe 118

Most systems do not draw that much power constantly, so its pretty much a case to case basis.

Tyler. I am extremely interested in this product especially after seeing a noted org member with good remarks towards the product. Currently, I do not use PayPal, but I did contact the company via their webpage in an attempt to make a purchase by money order.

Yes. He responded, and the Money order will go out this evening. I got in touch with Cyrus, and he says the quality of the pulley is superb. My money should be there by Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. If you have pictures of the Brass rign, and timing ring, I would appreciate it if you could email them to me, or simply post them. Either way, I'm in. Thanks Tyler

I too would like to see pics of the timing ring. I already have a useless RVM pulley collecting dust in my basement, so I don't need another like that.

If you guys still have some of these in about 2 weeks, I'll most likely order one. Sounds stupid but I'm going away for 9 days and I just don't want it sitting on my doorstep until I get back heh. Oh and the price you are selling them at is definatly reasonable. Hopefully after this and maybe a technosquare ECU, I'll be content with my car.

Hey ch13f, OT but I was wondering how do you like your ride with the KYB AGX ? I'm actually running on the stock AE SE shock with Maxspeed, but I want to drop my car some more. With all the mods I want to buy this year, I though the KYB AGX would make a good compromise compare to JIC price, ( I would prefer to buy JIC but... )it's more than twice the price, with the difference in the money spend I can basically buy a new set of rubber for the srping. One last thing do you have a lots of bling bling...

Thanks bro.

I'm in agreement here. Lightened would be nice, but I won't buy one if I can't use the stock belts. Do you guys have anything planned in stock size?

Matt.

I reseached this pulley before sending my money. It appears that they have addressed the timing and oil leak issues ahead of time. The pulley comes with the bronz oil seal bushing which is to be placed between the oil seal and pulley, as well as a timing ring I believe. As long as you replace the oil seal when you do the install, there should be no problems with leaks. The belts are not included with the group deal, but they can be purchased at any auto parts store for 30-40 bucks. The belt sizes are included in the instructions. Original post addresses all of these issues, and also states that the pulley weighs in right at 1 pound.

I couldn't have said it better myself...

Belts are

alternator A/C Gates K060408 or K060410
Power steering Gates K040300

The RVM issues were addressed, This pulley was designed with the flaws and pros of other designs in mind.

This pulley is lighter then any other pulley on the market today, resulting in the highest gains.

The reason the cost is so low is basically because the company is Brett and myself. Thats it. I am only running the maxima.org portion of the business. Brett gets all part custom machined and designes everything. That said OUR OVERHEAD IS PRACTICALLY NOTHING!!! Make sense?

Where are you shipping from? I'm probably going to have to be sending my car to Jeff@ Maximum Tuning in Long Island, NY, soon, however, i need to take the whip to the local FNND before i commit. If so, i'd need you to be able to get it to him fast. I'd be paying MO, which might become a problem for speed, but if it's being shipped to a well known, reputable business with many satisfied .org members, could you X-ship? Just curious. If timing could work out on this, i'd be in this in a heartbeat...

Payment can be sent via www.paypal.com to PHSInvent@aol.com

As far as where we are shipping from Defacto we are sending the items from Ohio. After payment is in hand the item normally goes out the same or next day. As far as shipping is concerned we can ship the item to any address you specify, however we take no responsibility for it once it gets there (i.e they lose it or say it never came etc....) We can also work something out with overnight shipping of the piece for a small charge if needed. Also you could send the M/O via overnight or use paypal?

Tyler

DEAL WILL BE AROUND UNTIL ???? We either sell out or there is no interest???
