Got it, installed it! 2000 Max SE

I got mine on December 29th, I was in the first batch. I got a chance to install it this weekend, since I have had a couple of extra days off due to the holidays.

I installed it myself, with two floor jacks, u could install it with just a tire jack if you had to, here are a couple of observations and tips.

I should tell you that I am a perfectionist, So some of my Obversations may seem insane, but I will say them anyway.

Observations:

I only have about a half inch of bar sticking out of the bushing on the from the front trailing arm. Instructions said to keep 1 inch out, but it is not possible with the emergeny brake clamp installed. The instructions showed the emergency brake clamp still installed. So I hope that with only 1/2 inch of bar outside the bushing it doesn't cause any problems.

Removing the ABS bracket bothers me, there is something wrong with removing parts and discarding them to install a mod, maybe it is just me, but I liked the ABS bracket, alot of protection for the ABS wire right by the tire. So I kept it attached and just tie wrapped the bracket and wire to the emergency brake cable.

The instructions on the Progress bar suck, I could have draw a better diagram freehand. I would expect a lot more instructions than 3 pages, more pictures and more comments on the installation would have been nice.

U-Bolts seem excessively long, when tightened I have about 1 inch of thread showing, I would like a better fit, I also used all the thread on the bolt getting the u-bolts tight.

Wheres the stainless hardware, I really like to use stainless steel hardware on the underside of my car. Wish Progress would consider this.

Tips:

Remove the tires, don't try like I did to leave them on, just won't work, you must remove the tires to see the emergency brake bracket and the ABS bracket, and you can even tighten the axle u-bolts from either side with the wheels removed.

Ride:

I noticed the RSB when backing out of the garage, when I drop off the garage floor lip, it was a firm bump and not a bounce. My son, Sean05, said it didn't feel as fluffy. I couldn't really hit a corner hard, raining out, so I will test it out when it is dry.

Good luck with you installs.

Please tell me that Sean05 is your son't userid.....when you said "fluffy" makes it sound like he's a little kid, and Sean05 would be an interesting actual name...

But I digress.....Should be getting the Stillen RSB in the mail this week, so will post install comments and ride comments later for comparison's sake.

Yes i'm hijacking this 5'th gen thread on RSB's to post some third gen input.
Well I have the Addco RSB I got from the cattman deal:

Observations:
Bar is very sturdy/pretty... And Heavy. All hardware needed. My bushings were maroon.

Installation:
No big deal really... Jack up the car, put the tires on blocks. Came with all the right hardware. I just used 4dsc's article for instructions.

I had only one problem with the installation, though, being that the U-Brackets provided did not have holes large enough to fit the stock bolts. A little bit of filing and no problem there, just as long as they fit through it enough to get the nut on the other side to tighten all the way. In that section of installation please listen to the article and put some grease or lube on the u-bracket bushings... I didn't and those things squeek and churn after u drive in the rain and dust. I ended up taking them down and greasing them after that.

Installing the addco bolt through the L bracket was only hard because of the lack of help.

Tip: IF you have a friend with nothing better to do for 15 minutes, then this shouldn't be much trouble if you both do the sides at the same time.

Youre helper will come in handy when aligning the bushings and bolt through the L bracket. Since it has to be a tight fit, compressing the bushings to get the bolt to show enough threads is necessary. Just pull down on the top bushing with both hands and have your helper thread on the nut enough for comfort before tighteni-DON'T TIGHTEN TIL THE OTHER NUT IS IN PLACE ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE. You'll be fine with the instructions on 4dsc.

Ride:
Absolutely amazing substantial difference in cornering and body roll. Turns are much more solid and tight. I already have tok/eib combo so that's saying a lot. Very good group deal IMO (thanks waveridr85), but i still would have bought it for the normal price because it's worth it. No more squeely tires on most turns and not to mention, the thing just looks cool from behind anyway. Addco RSB = Worth it.
