I'm planning on doing the LED tails so I was wondering if anyone is interested in LEDs? It's cheaper to buy in bulk I want the 5mm 5000mcd ones so they're brighter than the 3000mcd ones, but not as expensive as the 7000mcd ones.

I'm planning on putting about 50 LEDs in each section of the tail so I'll need 100 White, 100 Amber or Orange, and 200 Red.

If someone else wants white, we can get the 250 for $33 so we'll end up with 125 white LEDs each for $16.50 instead of the $22 for 100. The amber/orange will probably be the same price. 500 red LEDs will be about $60 so 250 LEDs each for $30. If there are more people interested, the prices will be lower

I already bought blue LEDs (5mm 7000mcd) so I won't be needing those. Going to do my blue window switches soon

Anyone want any LEDs? I want to see how many we need then I'll see how much that eBay seller will give it to us for since the shipping will be combined. It comes with free resistors If you're planning on doing it later, buy the LEDs now!

Just post how many you need and what colors. I need:
100 White
100 Amber or Orange
200 Red

I'll figure out the total amount of each color we need and then I'll give the total to that eBay seller and he'll come back with the price.

If you're going to do the LED tails, then it'll be cheaper this way. If I buy those LEDs from eBay seperately I'll be paying about $80, but if we buy in bulk and split it, then hopefully we can get it down to $50 Since you're in Jersey you'll probably pay a few bucks shipping, but you'll still save money in the end.

It's cheaper to buy 1000 red LEDs and split the price between 4 people than it is to buy 250 LEDs seperately I think the price for 1000 is about $100 so if we have 4 people, each will get 250 for $25 instead of paying the $33 auction price.

everyone who did the led tails.. did they use the red leds for the brakes or white.. wouldnt the white be brighter...??

The mcd number is the brightness. 5000mcd is brighter than 3000mcd You can pick all white if you want to, but I'll be getting different colors I just want to do a bulk order so the price will be lower.

I had some money saved up, but had to $45 deposit for prom and wasted like $50 going out to eat and watching my school's basketball team play. Wasted more money on other stuff so I'm down to like $25 for now Going to look for a part time job soon. I'll probably order in a few weeks. Not a 100% sure yet.
