Do you guys have the name of the seller? I found these for about $115 shipped this a.m., but I'm always looking to save money!

Jessica said she will post here on Monday herself regarding a KYB GR2 group deal. She said her normal price is $265. She can do it a little bit lower depending on how many people are interested.

So just wait until Monday. If not just go on ebay, search for "maxima KYB GR2" and click "buy it now" for $255 shipped + tax in CA.

I've talked to a bunch of companies, and I should have quotes on Mon or Tuesday. I guess Jessica's posting a deal then as well, so we'll see who's is better.

No modifications are needed for KYB GR-2's to fit 5th Gens.

I'm definitely in, if this goes down this week, and the price is less than $250. Hope to hear soon, since my strut bearings are shot and I have new mounts ready to go in, just waiting for struts and springs. By the way, any of these dealers making deals on Maxspeeds?

Cattman GR-2 group deal offer

We haven't sold the GR-2s in the past, but we're going to start, and a group deal would be a good way to introduce the line.

The numbers won't work for us if everyone goes after several group deals, but if we can sell in large quantities I can offer GR-2s at $245, shipped, for the 1995-1999 Maxima/I30, and $295, shipped, for the 2000-2003 Maxima/I30/I35. These prices would require payment by money order, adding $5 for credit cards. Free shipping is within the continental US only; for orders to Canada, Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico or elsewhere, customer would pay shipping costs over $10.

If someone else can signifantly undercut my GR-2 prices, I'll understand, but Cattman Performance has been a well-known provider to the Maxima community since 1998 so you'd have full confidence in the transaction process and that should be worth a couple of bucks. Plus, you'll be supporting one of the few companies that invests in the development of new Maxima parts!

I'll see what the response is and if people want to get behind this deal, we'll put together the details, start a new thread, and get things rolling. We'll be able to begin shipping orders as they come in, no waiting to reach an order threshold. Let me know what you think.

PS. For those looking at springs, I strongly encourage your consideration of the Progress Technology Sport Springs, available for both the 95-99 and 00-03 series. They drop 1.7" in the front, 1.5" in the rear, the perfect height for many. They handle great, have a comfortable ride without being bouncy, and have never come back to me for a droop issue. I can't sell them for $99 because they're not $99 springs, the sale price is $145, but IMHO the Progress set is a better value at that price. These are currently on sale at this price through 15 March (as group deal and sponsor's forum postings), along with every other suspension part we sell.

Hey Brian, you say you gonna set up a new thread for GR-2s and Progress spring package, that would be sweet. What the price for the package would be? Total comes up to be $390, maybe some discount - $20, like you gave on AGX/Progress combo

Thanks,

Vlad

I think we could sell the GR2s and Progress Sport Springs for $380 (95-99s), $430 (00-03s).

Aren't the progress springs a bit stiff and low for the GR-2s to keep up??? I don't want to get bounced around, or blow the struts early! The GR-2s actually aren't recommended for use with the Progress springs in the maxmod FAQs. Combo the GR-2s with H&R springs for this price ($375) and I'm in. With Maxspeeds, I think a good deal would be about $320-330. Still hoping to act soon. Getting Antsy!

I've had a number of customers buy Progress springs for their GR2s and they seemed pleased - its a pretty subjective topic. Don't think you'll find the German springs at that price.

The price includes shipping, but I've made myself a liar by increasing the strut + spring prices $5 higher, at $380/95-99 and $430/00-03 (the group deal is posted now).

Sorry if my previous message wasn't written clearly, I can see why you'd wonder. I'd meant to say that the Progress springs couldn't be sold for $99 because they are not "$99 springs", but that our current $145 sale price was a good value for the product that Progress makes.

happyricefob, sadice, felix, budha56, and others interested.....Remember that we want to be patient and let the companies give us the best deal they can. If we all jump on these odd deals, then we will not be able to get the best deal like previously stated. I, for one, am wanting a good set up, but not a very expensive one. I know Sadice and a lot of others are too. Let's wait and figure out if anyone can do better?

Anyone???

And those springs are certainly out there and available - nothing says that the struts and springs have to come from the same vendor. We just don't have a budget spring line that we've handled - our inventory tends to be pretty stable, we don't jump from brand to brand. As a vendor, I'm really wary of lower end parts - some brands might be great, but the trick is picking them out. Poor choices like that really can come back to haunt the company that sells them.

The springs are really just an extra - the main point of the group deal (posted now) is to get the GR2s out there.

i already have maxspeed springs so i'm not too worry about it. IMO KYB GR2 for $245 shipped is about $20 cheaper than what I expect, which is decent price for me at least.

I doubt you can find brand new GR2s for $245 shipped after this group deal. I suggest jump on it.

So... Does this mean that there will be other quotes? $245 is good, but if we get like 20-30 ppl it should be a little more of a discount. This is only about a $20 difference. Basically free shipping. Just voicing my opinion.

I guess that is what I am trying to say. Brian, if you will give us a chance to come up with some people, and get the list centralized, could you not do better with some quantity?

I mean, we just had a gd with 130 people in it for y-pipes. that was awesome. We need to do something similar, and if the price is right, more people will come, instead of just going to ebay and buying on their own.

I'm not really one to jerk around with prices. You guys always assume someone is holding out on you, that's not the case here - and anyone who speculates to the contrary (without knowing the prices I pay) really doesn't know what they're talking about.

The price we've offered assumes many buyers, if it doesn't work out that way, it doesn't work out, but 1 or 100, that's the best price we can offer on these parts. If someone offers a better price from some little knothole eBay site, and you want to do business with a company that has no reputation on this forum to save $5, go for it.

And why go to Ebay to buy on their own? My price is $15 lower than the cheapest ebay price I could find (if you read the fine print, the $255 set charges $5 for shipping insurance), and we ship as soon as the order arrives. What exactly is lacking here?
