Brian, I have contacted a bunch of different companies trying to work out this deal, and am currently working with a few very good offers ($230 shipped for GR-2's looks quite possible, and possibly other higher-end products will also be available, as well as Maxspeeds). None of them have supported Maxima.org like you have, but it looks like they'll be able to beat your prices. I totally understand if people want them right now or if they want to support your business, and I respect that...as do I respect all you've done for this site. For those who are on the tightest budgets and willing to wait a bit longer, I think there might be something out there. It's not someone holding out on price that people are referring to, but my earlier post that I am working with a lot of other companies, and this is taking a little longer than I had expected.

So has anyone gone ahead and ordered from brian? I assume that if you are talking to other companies, then we would need everyone to stick together on this deal. Correct? How many ppl was the $230 quote for?

I haven't worked out the details, but yeah I'll have a much better chance of getting a better price if there are a bunch in there.

I need strut/shocks too

I'm pretty much decided on this KYB GR-2 with good price of $245 or possible better price of $230. Now I need to know how much to install them. What's consider fair labor cost for this installation and how much would you say to be a good deal.

I would also need strut bearing. Mine goes clink, clink.... with turn of steering wheel. So that's extra $40

Then would need a alignment, $60~80

245 + 40 + 60 + installation labor =

Did I leave anything out???

What springs are you pairing struts with?

I'm pairing my GR-2's with Eibachs. My car only has 30K miles on it.

Would I need to buy new dustboots?

Your Max is 2K1, I think they are in good shape, but don't know if they would fit over GR-2's ....

Almost forgot about that. Thanks for your reply

I check my car and there is no dustboot at all. Completely torn away!!!(at least one of it is) Guess I need those too. Hopefully these are not too expensive(thinking maybe around $15 each???). That's extra 60 bucks over my estimate.

For springs, I don't want to lower it or kill my ride quality (I have little baby and don't want to shake him up too much) so I will keep my original stock springs.

so far then my cost would be:
245 + 40(bearing) + 60(alignment) + 60(dustboot) + labor(still checking) = .... doh!!!

getting expensive...., but I need it.......

If everyone replied as quickly as Warpspeed or Cattman, this deal would be done by now. haha. No news, I'm still trying. Sorry.
