it just said WALKER as the recommendation. but im curious to know what the OE for my 97. i went and looked but the angle was hard to spot anything, but i took the thing out to inspect connections and it was tight.

i emailed them already asking. would bosch or ngk be better?

Lots of people bought Walkers, nothing wrong with them... Buy another brand for more if you don't want Walkers...

1st page says "Mike recommended the Walker sensors." - not you have to buy the Walker sensors and http://forums.maxima.org/showpost.ph...1&postcount=15 also says any of them - they must have changed it recently then

hehe hope my car won't throw codes though its been okay ever since the restart. but i might as well change it like u guys have mentioned.

thanks.

what code is it and what sensors did u replace? i got a 0707 denoting the rear, 2 times it came up and those 2 times i had put gas at this particular 76. ever since the reset the code is gone.

tomorrow i will jump the code to see if im getting a reading. if not then something is SCREWY..

I've been using Walker sensors for some time now, both for my dad's '99 CA spec and my '97 Fed spec, and have had absolutely no problems.

here's the code P0133 i got from the scanner at autozone today, which converts to 0409
but on this thread, 0409 gets skipped
http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=104931

the scanner still came up as Front O2 sensor

I just had my 98 maxima hooked up to the diagnostic at Advance Auto today. It came up codes P0154 (Bank 2 sensor 1)and P0140 (Bank 1 Sensor 2). My question is shouldn't I replace all three sensors? The employee at Advance was telling me that the computer was only showing that it had 2 oxygen sensors on the car and I told him that I thought there were 3. He stated that it was only showing 1 upstream and 1 downstream. What gives?

i dont think that guy knows what he is talking bout

anywho...i changed the O2 sensor near the firewall saturday and got Autozone to reset it again for me.....and i passed inspection today..so far so good....usually if the code pops up, it'll pop up about a day after i reset it, so hopefully the CEL doesn't come back on

i've been driving with the CEL on for over a yr

are these O2 sensors just the sensor or does it include all of the harness/wiring so it'll just plug in/screw in at the respective ends? or is some splicing involved?

"OEM" type = plug and play
"Universal" type = splicing

I count 4 on the pic that Jatan posted: http://www.jatan.net/02Sensor1.jpg

I have the Cali spec tho, wonder if that makes a difference?
