I think i'm gonna break down and order these. Lord know I need them. What's the best setting on them so I won't feel all these damn bumps and potholes we have here in NYC? I'm riding on the '04 18" wheels.

I would have to say personal preference. What one person thinks is the best setting for them wouldn't neccissarily be better for next person. Know what I mean?

It all depends on what type of response you're looking for. I know the best way to find out what's best for you it just to play with the settings.

I'll be here when you're ready to order. As I've said before, the is no end date as of now.

Take it easy.

Isn't this a b*tch. Car just died this morning. Alternator is shot. Just spent $300 for the part and about to dish out at least $100 for labor. Looks like struts have been pushed back a week.

I'm considering buying the Tokico Illumina & Springs 4th gen package, but I would like to know which springs I am getting. Red or Silver.

I think warranty is void if you lower more than 1.5"? Don't quote me on that though.

ohannon7,

You have to be careful with coilover kits. The Tokico Illuminas can be used with coilover kits. You have to make sure the coilover kit you're using has a diameter that will fit the Illuminas. For more details go here: http://www.tokicogasshocks.com/faq.html

It's very odd that in the warranty Info...it says that "The warranty does not apply to any units which have been installed on excessively lowered vehicles." Which I must say is very vague. And what i mean is that to ME progress springs (which has a drop of 1.7 in the front and 1.5 in the rear) aren't excessively low because there is still some wheel gap. But I might consider Tein S-Tech (which has a drop of 2.2 in the front and 1.6 in the rear) "excessively lowered." but who's to say they'd agree? I wasn't even thinking about the warranty's specifics until now and even though i believe these shocks will be great, the warranty is always good to have just in case and would hate to find that my springs would void it (and i plan to get progress).

Hey dextterity,

That is true but, if you check the other link in my last post: http://www.tokicogasshocks.com/faq.html You'll see that the last question is a little more specific. I'm sure it all depends on interpretation. Still, a little less vague.

Hope this helps.

Take it easy.

yes still a little vague but i guess it kinda calls for that since there are all kinds of vehicles and many ways to drop them. I'd say progress should be fine knowing they also talked about being too stiff...and progress isn't as stiff as eibach, it's pretty much between that and s-techs, kinda why i picked them, anyway, guess this still doesn't have an end date huh? that's good and thx for starting it even though i'm not sure when i'll buy, but hopefully soon.

Sent my money and everything, but I have yet to hear anything back from them. It's been around about 5 days, but I understand with the Easter Holiday and everything. Are they usually pretty quick on the shipping out and everything?

I just thought that everyone should know that I was told by Scott_98Max that some of the the 5th Gen Illuminas struts sold through this group deal were sent back to Tokico due to some problems, and that they would be out-of-stock for two weeks. Just a heads up to those who need these in a rush. Excellent pricing though.

Just to let you guys know, the Illuminas for the 00-03 Maixma will be in-stock on the 15th of May.

I know I said like 2-3 weeks. That's what I/We were told by Tokico. But they did give an arrival date of 15May04.

The Illuminas stock for the 4th gen Maxima is full...

Sorry for my less than timely responses.

Take it easy.
