so what kinda of system do they use to determine who gets it? I'm not complaining but I'm just curious on how they pick the lucky persons to ship it out to on that day. You think they just close their eyes and point to a name and ship it to that person? I'm sure they probably have some sort of system to determine who goes out that day.

"Maybe if you're so displeased you should ask for your money back and buy elsewhere."

You see I would probably do that if I knew that they had my money, which I don't.

"Would you rather them spend their time adjusting lists and searching for your name or sending out the pipes?"

This place has a secretary named lynn or something right? It seems that it would be her job to serve customers, ie let them know what the status of their order is. This is just bad business to be this way.

"I'm proud of you for never misplacing a message yourself, or forgetting to pass one along...I know I'm not that perfect."

When did I ever say anything to this effect? All I very politely requested from Warpspeed was some sort of order status. When they could not, or would not comply I let it go. Then, I requested that they let me know if they received my money. Is there anything wrong with this? I thought maybe the reason that they could not find my name on their lists is because some sort of technical error with paypal kept the money from getting to Warpspeed.

Sorry if the fact that they said they "probably" got my money angered me. I have never in my short life dealt with a company with such poor customer service. Again, I call this bad business and would never recommend this company to anyone.

"The last thing that I want to see is for him to get a bad name out of his effort to hook us up. "

If his company could not handle the load of a group deal of this size, he should not have agreed to it. By the way, you think he is doing this as a favor? He is making money off of us and it is that simple.

It is a shame that you don't even have your pipe yet. I bet when you called to check why not they said, "It will probably come soon."

EXACTLY my point!!! Its a GREAT deal, and we should all be very grateful for this oportunity to get these at such a great price!!!

While you are waiting, you can at least get everything lined up. Go ahead and buy the bolts required for the job and get some WD40/PB blaster and the sockets that you will need.

I think the studs and nuts are Nissan part #1406431U10 (stud) #2060241G00 (nuts). Get them from jeromy rome nissan because he has a 30% off deal going on till the end of this month. You need 6 of each. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on my facts.

Whatever the process, I paid two days before the end of the GD, and I was the 9th post in the whole thread and the 6th overall name on the list. Dallas is not in the process of moving, that was the last GD. He is fully moved in as of this GD and it's been now 18 days since my payment posted into their bank accounts. Whatever the price, whatever the transaction... that is a long time to wait.

Why do you need these studs and nuts? Can't you use the ones that are already on the car?

Because some of us live in areas where it snows so we have to cut our studs and nuts off due to rust.

I had the same situation and the same worry. I called and Julie told me that Dallas does not bill the credit card until he actually ships the product.

Yesterday I received an email with a tracking number.

I'm a little worried...On the 22nd i recieved an email from USPS Shipping Services with the subject "Delivery Confirmation" the email includes:

This notification is being sent to you at the request of the shipper.

A package with the following Priority Mail label number xxxxx... is scheduled to be shipped to you on 04/21/2004. When i check the tracking on their website it says

The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper or shipping partner on April 22, 2004 to expect your package for mailing. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later.

Still not here, and even though the email gives no indication what so ever that this regards warpspeed, i assume it is... (though i recently ordered a berk intake, but berk is waiting for some couplers before he can send shipment)

Not sure how long it takes to ship, but i don't want to wait too long to mension something this, because usually you never know if their is a problem unless you ask ;p

So if there is a way for you to find out if they have shipped my y-pipe and everything is going well/expect it soon, i'd really appreciate it.

Got my Y-pipe installed today. Took about 2 hours... Would of taken about an hour but I have a broken arm

Cat bolts werent too hard to remove, just used my 24" breaker bar and they popped off no problem. I did however, soak them in CLR before I put them back on.

After I got everything hooked back up, I started the max up. OMG this pipe sounds so wicked with my cat-back. Idles like a V-8, nice low grumble and you can hear the exhaust pulses. Its friggin sweet. Only thing I dont like is if I rev it hard, it has a real bad rasp to it. But I can live with that.

Pulls a little harder than it did before, but I think I have a bad KS so perhaps I'll get that changed out too.

One last note: The stock y-pipe weighs a crap load compared to the Warpseed. w00t the max sounds so tough now Had some guy in a Corvette ask me if I had a V-8 in my car. I laughed and told him it was just a V6 and you shoulda seen his eyes

$160 well spent. Thanks for the GD!

Called WSP yesterday and gave them my name and phone # and asked if my 99 SE-L Fed spec had been shipped... Sure enough, it hasn't been shipped yet. Just goes to show that this is NOT a first pay first ship deal... I guess committing right away and being #6 on the overall list doesn't mean a thing. Hope the performance of this pipe outweighs the wait I have to incur and aggravation of knowing people paid later for the exact same pipe, yet got theirs earlier...

I know how you feel, I did the same. I'm sure the pipes are coming. The flex section of my OEM y-pipe is total blown out now. After looking at it and the cat, I called WSP and added a high flow cat to my order. I'm not driving the car until the new parts arrive, and that can be tough waiting.

They took the money out of my account on 4/10/04. Now it has been 24 days since I ordered and 22 days since they've been holding my money. I am never dealing with Warpspeed ever again. I've been given so many empty promises from Dallas and his staff that at this point I wish I would've spent the extra money from Budget and gotten my pipe THE SAME MONTH I ORDERED IT!

I've been told I'll be called by Dallas... no calls. I haven't recieved an email about ANYTHING and people are getting their pipes left and right. It's not a tough pipe to make, a 99 Fed spec. People out there who've paid later than me have gotten theirs... and I was #6 on this list of over 80 people!

Everyone else might be happy with their pipes and speed and all that ****, but from this consumer right here... Warpspeed has just lost 100% of my business and I am going to spread the word as much as possible about the way this deal has gone down for me.

Warpspeed... keep your sticker. You couldn't PAY me to advertise for you at this point.

I think this is about time you stop lying to others. Dallas DID call you back and spoke to you. After that the only thing you do is COMPLAINING. You have already been told that if you do not want it, just cancel the order, get your money back. Go with budget, better yet STAY STOCK. You have been told several times to be patient. You have failed to do so. What do you expect us to do?

Its not about being patient, its about getting good customer service. I dont mind waiting this long if warpspeed would just let me know what is going on....

Also, dallas was supposed to call me back at one point and never did so I believe stringtzoo.

Honestly, people should stop getting angry at the people who are expressing their opinions on the matter. This wait and crappy customer service with their empty promises is really ****ing some people off and we have a right to express our feelings. We also should be able to tell others not to order from warpspeed if they dont want to deal with this sh*t.

First Impressions

I received my pipe on Thursday and installed it today. I've only been for a short drive with the new pipe but so far I am satisfied with my purchase.

Installation was about what I expected. Living in California, I did not anticipate any rust problems on the nuts or bolts. Nevertheless, some were on so tight that I found myself whacking on the wrench handle with a five pound sledge to get them loose. I also found that the nuts on the front pre-cat were 13 mm instead of the 10 mm that the directions indicated.

The fit and finish of the pipe seem fine. I didn't understand how the bracket that they sent me worked. It doesn't seem to perform any function, however the directions indicated that it should have included a bushing. It did not, so I'll call Warpspeed this week to see if I did something wrong or if they neglected to send me a part.

When I took the car out for a drive, I noticed the banging that I have so often read about. I'll have to get some washers this week so that I can lower the brace behind the cat. The car is a little louder, but it is barely noticeable--I still have the stock cat back. I didn't notice a great increase in power until about 4000 rpm in third gear--then I felt a real difference. I'll have to spend some more time driving the car before I can really talk about the effect on performance.

All in all, I think that it was $160 well spent. It didn't turn my car into a 350Z (wishful thinking), but it will make it easier to pass people and smile as I go by.

Hmmmm ,

So I guess I missed this group deal, I wonder If I'll get it any faster if I buy it from the warpspeed auction on Ebay for the extra $40?

How many people were on this GD?

Lying? Who are YOU? I called on the 13th when I first voiced my opinion and gave you my phone #, and Dallas called me back the next day... I called AGAIN on the 27th but he wasn't there. I left my name, email address and phone # with them again, but Dallas DID NOT call me back. Not Wednesday. Not Thursday. Not Friday.

How about hold up your end of the bargain. Pay first/ship first. That must've gone out the window after a day or so... Strange how I am not the only one who's been waiting and waiting and waiting without word one from anybody. Just a post from you to "be patient". Patience ran out when I got passed over on this "so-called" list that was submitted. Especially when the lady on the phone said you only submitted a PARTIAL list, citing the reason the list was incomplete was because YOU didn't give her a full list. Either way, I know I was on the list. My name was #6 and I paid on Wednesday night. There is no reason why my pipe should not be here. Especially when I heard that if people called they get put on the end of the list. Where's the customer service there? I can understand if someone's calling in daily, but ONE CALL? It's been three weeks. He told me the pipes were made over the phone. What is he waiting on then?

How about we do this: You call them and cancel your order. It will be much easier for all of us: Dallas, me, and you. Just do that. Stop complaining. But no, you do want a good product at good price. Now, let me make this clear. Dallas HAS told you that whoever calls them about their order gets moved to the back of the list. Please, DO NOT SAY YOU DID NOT HEAR IT. You also say you called and gave ME your number. You have never called me. As a matter of fact, you don't even have my phone number. And if you have not noticed most of the orders go in first pay - first ship order. What you have refused to understand is that they might have pipes ready to ship for other years and I already spoke of people who call WSP to confirm.
Another thing, I have not sent ANY lists to the lady you spoke to. I did send it to Dallas and he took care of everything. The things you don't like are mostly company's rules. If you do not like them, you do not have to follow them.

Sorry if my reply offends you or anyone else. I hope you noticed that at first I tried to help you, then just ingore it, hoping you will come to your senses and get over with it. None of that has happened. If you do not like people treating you like that, try to act differently as well.

That is customer service defined. "If you call to find out info about your purchase, we will penalize you and make you wait until the end of time to get your product. But we will take your money, deposit it into our account, and possibly make interest off your order's payment." Nice.

No, I said I called Dallas AND gave you my phone #. You know you asked for my info... Here's the PM you sent me as proof...
"I will PM Dallas with your info and ask him to explain what the problem is/was. Again, as I said in my erlier posts, one explanation why Vlad got his pipe earlier than you did could be that they don't have enough 99 fed spec y-pipes in stock at the moment. Again, that's only my opinion, but we will find out more once Dallas replies. I'm sorry for the trouble it have caused you, but I'll try to do my best to solve it.

PLENTY of people buying 99 fed specs have recieved theirs. Dallas himself told me they were availible back on the 14th. Even though it is a first pay/first ship "concept", I GUARANTEE it hasn't gone that way or we wouldn't be having this conversation.

The lady answering the phone said, (and I quote), "The person organizing this group deal on the org sent us only a partial list, it was missing 10-20 people. Luckily, you are on the list that we recieved and it shows that you DID pay so we should be getting a pipe in the mail to you soon." (Soon must mean before the Summer starts).

Let me first start off with.... I am not upset. I am way down on the list and understand that Warpspeed has their hands full with orders. My situation is that I want to confirm that my money was received by Warpspeed. If my payment did not go through then I have waited 4 weeks for nothing. I paid through Paypal on 4/6, but don't always trust that the transaction went all the way through. I have called, but only to confirm payment. I have not gotten a call back. I also read now that I was most likely moved to the bottom of the list. Can I get an email address or can someone check to see that my payment went through. Just want to make sure the wait is on the pipes and not my money not getting there.

Patiently waiting.

carabuser,
Are you serious, and if so, what is the rational for this? When stringztoo suggested this I dismissed it as too bizzar to believe. Does Dallas think that the only possible reason for us to call would be to complain and nag?
You said in your post (392) to call them if we had any questions regarding our order status. So I did, and had a very friendly conversation with the gal that answered the phone. I simply tried (unsuccessfully) to get a delivery date for my weekend planning. Now you are telling us that our phone calls cause us to be moved out to the end of the list? I know this is a great deal and I can remain very patient, but this lastest information sure has me confused.
Thanks, Bob

just call up lynn(the lady that answers the calls) and ask, I did. No biggie. I'm sure you can ask if they got your money and they'll check for you. I don't believe there's a ETA because Dallas is doing all the shipping but she does get a list of the persons that are being shipped out the day. They're doing everything as quick as possible cuz their hands are full with other orders besides Maxima.org.

and I don't think you get sent down the list if you call, that's just plain immature of them to do so. I asked if i could change my shipping address and wanted to know if it's been shipped already or not and she said she'll call me back with that info. She did call me back within an hour so their customer service isn't that bad. Just be courteous and friendly.
