I am talking with a guy from Australia about making red clear lenses for our taillights. So you would have to take apart your current tailights and put in the new lense. He said we would need at least 10 orders but I haven't received a price from him yet. I just want to see if there would be 10 people that would be interested. I'm in so that makes 9 more. As soon as I get a price I will post it. I told him the demand will depend on the price so hopefully he'll respond soon.

They look like they do excellent work. It's just a little difficult making contact with them seeing as they are in australia in a different time zone. I'll do the best I can to try and make this happen and hopefully for a low price. But I won't present a done deal until I know all info and am confident working with them.

That is the problem with 95-96 tail lights, you cannot take apart the inner orange lense out, it is a single piece. If that was the case then we would be doing the same red/clear DIY mod as the 97-99. Sad to say it will take a new outer tailights to pull off the red/clear look. The only way to keep your current outer tailights would be to cut out the orange section completely out (which would expose the bulb) then fuse a new piece where you had cut.

 

while I am not crazy about having to put my tail lights in the oven, it would be great if this company could provide just the lenses in red/clear and the adhesive. This way the costs should be much lower. They could make the red/clear lenses and we could use our stock housings. If this company lives up to their advertising they should be able to make a copy of out red/ambers lens but in red/clear. All we really need is a red/clear lens that we could reassemble to the stock housing. No?

 

I know the amber is attached to the red. I was saying you would take off the red/amber lense shell and put on the red/clear lense shell. What I am trying to get made is the RED/CLEAR LENSE. So hopefully it will be a cheap price.

 

get a good copy lens of our OEM red/amber in red/clear and you will sell them like hotcakes.

 

that would be a good idea. i am in if price and quality is good and i also want to see a prototype first.

Baking my lights isn't something that I'm too keen on...

A good quality whole assembly at a good price (less than $200 range) would be a HUGE seller.

If it's just the lenses, again, it would depend on the price.

If this can be pulled off, the Aussies wouldn't be able to make them fast enough!

97-99 red/clears cost around $140 and you can get them in many places.....
