Due to the downtime on the forums recently, I'm going to extend the group deal pricing until the end of the weekend- May 9.
That may allow a few of you that don't log on much another chance to get in on this deal. If the order isn't in by midnight Sunday night, then the price goes to the regular $125 + shipping.

Depending on what you Autos have to do in order to get it on, you might. (i.e. you might have to loosen the control arm on the driver's side to get it on there.) the auto tranny is pretty big and gets in the way of just sliding it on.
the 5 spd guys shouldn't have any troubles. it's a 10-15 min install for them.. just be sure not to snug up the front nuts until you drop the car to the ground..

I've got parts for the first 10 cut up and 7 of those are welded together right now. I should have at least the 4th gens shipped by the end of the week, and I'll get to work on the 5th gens as soon as I get the 4th gens out of here.

You can buy individual large sockets (22, 24, 27, bigger) at Sears for a few bucks. If you have bolts that big on your car, it's not a waste of money since you'll probably need to use the socket again in the future.

You just re-use the factory bolts. there are washers that you remove in all of these locations anyway, so the bolts are still the perfect length.
Update on progress....
I've got about 8 of the 4th gen bars welded up, but I can't do squat right now because of the weather.
I'd rather not kill myself welding in the rain (must have doors open to evacuate smoke from the welder) , and I can't paint due to high humidity, nor box & ship because I have to have the garage open to pack the parts!
Sooo, as soon as mother nature cooperates a little more with me, I'll get these things shipped out!

No, it won't rub, it just makes the install more fun due to clearance issues. there's not enough room between the tranny and the control arm bolt to stick a socket on there and tighten it using normal tools-- unless you move the control arm or the tranny.
not a big deal, but it does make the install more fun. still very much worth the work though.

I looked under the car today. I was wondering which part of the bar is the lowest after you install the bar? Is it lowest where the bar hooks up to the control arm or the further down the car? Does your answer apply to both the 4th and 5th gen as I will be doing the install on both cars.
My next set of questions deal with the transmission. I will be doing installs for both the 4th and 5th with automatics. I looked at the space between the control arm bolt and the transmission. It will be impossible to get a socket in there. Will it be possible to place a 2"X4" block of wood under the tranny while it's jacked up and then lowering the car so that the tranny is pushed up by the 2X4? I wanted to do this to try to get a socket there. Will I need to loosen one of the engine mounts in the process?

on the 3-4 gens, the lowest part of the bar is the one that goes across the front of it. It has to clear the engine crossmember and exhaust, which are the lowest-hanging parts on the front of the car.
on a 5th gen, the lowest part is the rear bar that ties the frame together. on a 5th gen with Eibachs, there was still about 3.5" of ground clearance at the lowest point.

The weather hasn't been cooperating much here, so I've gotten a bit behind on them. The paint is drying on the first 10 right now, and I'll be shipping them out at the beginning of next week. I should be shipping the rest of the 4th gens by the end of this week and then I'll start on the 5 gens. all depends on how the weather cooperates right now..

New update.....
Rain has NOT been cooperating with me! It has rained just about every day for the last two weeks- at least enough to kill a few hours in the shop every day.
All but one of the 4th gen bars are done, and I'm working on it. I've also started on the 5th gens, and they should be welded by the end of the week.
now for the fun part.. I just fooking sprained my ankle while I was out there working! I'm going to be down for the rest of the day today and probably tomorrow.
I'm gonna go eat a bottle of tylenol for lunch and see if I can walk again in a bit. Sorry about all the delays guys. I know how it is to have to wait on stuff you've already paid for!

Matt, you mentioned powder coating as a finish possibility. Have you tried Allied Powder Coating. Hear about them on the radio alot.. they do typical stuff.. lawn furniture, bbq's, stage 1&2 control arm bars, etc

Volk, thanks for the contact on the powder.. looks like if I just choose one color that it won't be bac.. he quoted me 10-15 each for powder on them if I do a standard color (white, black, grey), a little more if I do special stuff, BUT that's in large quantities..
I may just offer them in black by default and if you want something else then you can pay the extras...
I've also got some numbers together on Stainless Steel.. the cost will be an additional $50 each and I can do them in stainless...

the SS is about the same weight within 1%, IIRC... the total weight on this thing is like 8-10 lb, so it's a no-brainer. if you're worried about weight enough that a 1/2 lb will matter, I suggest you eat a salad instead of a cheeseburger next time you go to Wendy's.

Hey Matt, as you know I already send you my payment last week, but can I change for Stainless Steel, since I live in Canada SS would be defenitely better for me unless the bar are Powder coated. Let me know how much longer it will take to make SS Tie Bar, I will send you the 50$ as soon as you confirm.
