Look what I found, MTX coilover for 675$...

Hey guys, can anyone start a GD on these nice Coilover:
http://www.shmotorsport.com/item141355.ctlg

They are price a 675$, 24 pts ajustable. It's the first time I see that brand, which look very good to me, does anyone has MTX install on their maxima.

Even though 675$ sound like a very good price, maybe we can crunch those number a little with a GD.

I was resign to buy illuminas and Tein S, but this cost the same price so why not.

Please someone keep us posted, otherwise I'm going to order direct form their website.

Cheers

I believe that the website belong to the company who made those. 24 point ajustable wow, all this for 675$, they are mono tube made which is supppose to dissipate the heat faster and prevent the oil from boiling. The name brand is MTX.

I'd like to hear form someone who has those install on a maxima.

Cheers

I would rather see a group deal in the Dropzone N1 coilovers instead.

There were a few people not too long ago that got these coilovers off ebay that were $550 and were suppose to post feedback on them, but never did. Anyone else know what I'm talking about?

I think you refer to the Japanese coilover that one or 2 guys got for cheap, but thoses were originaly very expensive like 2000$, I think the company who made them in Japan stop producing it.

Those Toser ones seem pretty sweet.

I'm gonna "go out on a limb" here and say that GC and Dropzone is crap.

I need a new suspension, and everytime I seem to decide on the set-up there is always something that prevent me to buy, in this case I was ready to order Tein S and illuminas, but when I saw the MTX coilover for 675$ I thouhg it would be really hard to pass on since they look well engineer and 24 pts ajustable. Yesterday I left a message to the sales dept and explain I'd like to make a group deal asap so I'll keep you posted, but even though I'm going to buy a set and be the test monkey.

Cheers

Ok let start a list of interested buyer to see how many we can get , the number will speak by itself when come the time to negociate. There is no obligation to buy at this stage, but if there is 5-10 peoples I'm shure we might be able to get some discount.

K.. this bothers me..

I'm shure we might be able to get some discount.

please at least talk to a sales rep so you can get solid details, including shipped price for 5/10/15/20 buyers etc, before you just go assuming this or that.

I left a message yesterday to the sale dept, I will call them back tommorow morning.

What do you mean by solid details ? We know they fit 4-5 th gen, 24 point ajustable, monotube what else do you consider solid details.

The only thing that I assumed was that if we buy 5-10 or 15 there will be a discount, isn't that suppose to be the way business work. All other good brand of coilover are 1000$+ so for the price of a spring set + shock you get this.

As for shipping, it's hard to tell without adress and zip code.

P.S: I have no profit interest in this, I'm just trying to help other like me who want a good suspension and cannot afford to spend 1000-1500$.

Which one of his 1st 7 posts gave you the impression that he's a sales rep?

He's just spreadin the word on something he found. Being the guinea pig is a huge contribution to the community. I may not post much but I do come by every now and then to check out what's new and see what peeps are up to with their rides. I would definitely trust what doublea would have to say.

Hey guys, I left a message to Frank, he take care of the wholesale. I hope he get back to me today, I clearly indicate the GD I'd like to do, but also outlined the fact that we want more infos on the MTX I also ask for pricing structure and discount as well as shipping fee for USA and Canada.

Let wait and see, I will keep you posted shortly after he call me back.

P.S: Thank NuJerseyDrive for the good words, like you said I'm just trying to help the community here and there is no profit involve with this GD.

this is def a good deal... seems like they are high quality,

looks like they use the same coilover/shocks and switch out the bottom of the coilover so it can fit from car to car, this way it saves both company and consumers...

So let me get this straight your going to tell someone else to pay attention and your not even paying any attention yourself. I dont see any posts where he called him a salesman in the first place. He said talk to a salesman..not your are a salesman.

well, if they want more money for this product, then they should be upfront and add it to their sale price. I don't trust vendors like these who sneak in such a high handling fee... but if these are quality coilover system then it maybe worth all these extra charges... just make sure there is warranty!

Ok guys, I just spoke with Frank and let me tell you he's very interested in this GD. I proceed to ask him how he would compare the MTX versus the JIC, he had respectfull words for JIC, saying it was a good product design by race peoples, no bad words or whatsoever ( that proove me he's not throwing a bunch of BS ) but he said the MTX are also really great and we should like it also there cheaper and perhaps better suited for a daily driven Maxima. Anyway he's going to put something together for me, like infos & specs of the products and pricing structure, he should send me an e-mail shortly.

As for shipping we will fix this when it's time.
As soon as I have the pricing structure, i'm going order a set
for my 2k1 Maxima and install asap, take pictures and show you the result and comments, meanwhile I should post the pricing and details.

Even so it's still under $1000 for a fully adjustable coilover setup. Tein springs + Tokico Illumina struts will run you close to that price, and your stuck with the settings.

OK THIS IS HOW YOU SETUP A GROUP DEAL

Pay attention to the order:

1. Contact seller/distributor
2. Find out if they will do a GD, and more details about the product.
3. NEGOTIATE the pricing/quantity (i.e. 5+ $700 shipped, 10+ $675 shipped, etc...)
3. Post an Official GD Thread and get people on board

Don't waste .org members' time, or the distributor's time...Running a GD is harder than it sounds...

Quick Reply: Look what I found, MTX coilover for 675$...
