Just reading this thread, I kinda KNEW this was gonna happen, Max Mutes.... darned punks out there hyping you guys up only to leave you high and dry at the altar.

If it were the 1st, I'd get one just to help you fellas out... but I don't get paid 'til then... so good luck (and a bump to keep the thread alive)

hey i was doing some search on ebay and found the exact key we paid for going for $45

Maxmute i dont think it's fair to be holding us hostage for what two morons are doing why dont you send us our keys and sell the remaining 2 on ebay or this could take forever before we get our keys.

If you dont want any loss refund us the money and return the keys back to the manufacture, at this point anything is better then waiting.

No one is holding anyone hostage over the keys. The premise of a Group Buy is to get a minimum number of people together to get a good deal. I had stopped selling these keys and had to order more than what the GD called for in order to get these. I also did not have any intention of selling these on ebay, that is why I did not stock these until I was asked to by 10 people to purchase them.

Yes, the same key is sold on ebay.. Its $41 + $8 shipping + $5 (optional for insurance). That's $49 - $51 for the key. I offered a $14 - $16 savings for 10 people, am I really being overly strict with my policies if I ask that if we have an agreement for 10 people, I ask for 10 people to purchase?

The fact of the matter is, I was asked to purchase 10 keys (no longer being sold by me) at a price of $35. I agreed even though I had to order 20 of them. So all this was based on 10 keys. We have 8 right now. I did not agree to 8 keys, I'm losing money either way but its the principle.

And as for the issue of not having any loss, I can not simply return these to the manufacturer. I would be out the cost of 20 keys, not 10. Given this situation, I am very hesitant to continue with my policy of helping out customers and getting deals on whatever the customers want. If I don't have it in stock, no deal. I can not keep ordering stuff like this for people only to lose money in the end. Its happened too often.

It would seem to me that the issue at hand is not with me, the supplier. You had 10 people getting together to purchase something and now there is only 8. Those 2 are the ones you should talk to, or if two others step up, it would solve everyone's problems.

I'm sorry but since I became a vendor, (and even before, when I was a member participating in GD's) its been a pet peeve of mine when people say one thing and when its time to step up, they disappear.

Hey man don't wanna stir any heat here i am just trying to look for a way to get our keys as fast as possible. any suggestion is cool, but like i said this could take forever imagine that no one steps up to the plate within the next 3 months what happens to us the buyers? granted we had 10 people at the beginning but now its clear we lost two people and we need to solve the problem.

we can't just sit and wait, for starters even thought this is a group deal post a for sale sign in the 4th & 3rd gen classified forum ( i didn't see one there this thread is only in the group deal forum).

maxmojo you could also offer this deal at other maxima related forums.

come on guys lets get hustling only 2 more keys can't be that hard to find two more guys .

I am going nuts just sitting and waiting, and seeing no results

Well, durtty1 paid so that's only one more that needs to pay before they all get shipped out.
The only reason that I have not done anything (such as posting in other places) is because this was not my GD, someone else started it and just contacted me to purchase them.

Some people had PM'd me asking what would happen in the event that it took too long or people didn't pay. I responded that refunds would be sent upon request. There is no risk of you guys losing money.

Thank you durtty1. You're a true man of your word and I greatly appreciate that you out of about 6+ people actually came through on it. Anyways, like Mojo said there is only 1 key left to be bought and I just got a PM from a new guy who very recently posted here and he said he's definitely in for sure. So, don't pull out yet THT, nor you maxcooldc.

Oh, and to answer the posting in other Forums. This was not my GD either, but I guess you could say it sorta became mine since the Original is one of them 6+ guys who bullsh*t. Anyways, I did post in the I30 Forum and 4th Gen. They were both up temporarily and I was told by numberous people that it was a very good post and they kept it up for a while, even though it was off topic. There was not much more I could do, except PM each and every one of those guys multiple times each, which I did and so far only one of them has came through now.

Ay man, thanks alot. The others and I greatly appreciate this. Yeah, it's a shame that we had not just one or two, but multiple deadbeats, but that's what happens sometimes and it just sucks. As for your order it will be the 10th one, and the keys will be sent out tomorrow morning. As for others who are interested and have seen my posts in their Gen Forums, there are more than only 10 keys so don't be worried. If you want one, there's still keys left. We just needed this one especially, so we can finally get them sent out. Again, thanks alot Dennis.

Any locksmith should be able to do it. Getting them cut at a chain such as a Home Depot might not work as well because they train their sales associates to cut keys and if its something they're not familiar with, they may mess up or just be hesitant to do so.

it feels great in the hand and the flip-out key seems durable.
i like the little light next to the key itself as well.
my only request is if anybody has the directions on how to program it or know of a place that has the machine to program it, please post you info.
if nobody knows anything, ill email them and ask.
thanx

I'm sorry but I don't think you'll be able to program the key. There are no programming instructions because you need a machine to program it. And to my knowledge, I had the only machine in the US from the manufacturer.

I got my key cut today!!! Im really happy with my purchase, thanks mojo this was a good GD. Only thing that kind of annoyes me is that the key folds in a little too easy for me but its not a big deal. Other than that though this key is flawless, once again thanks **** the key is freakin awsome. Everyone that has seen it is jealous and wants to know where i got it. Im just like, only on maxima.org.
