Im having a hard time getting mine cut is why im asking. It's like the blank is diffret that the key that i have. i will take it to the dealer and see. I went to home depot and some small hole in wall hardware spots and they all tell me its diffrent. Well not home depot the key guy wasnt around. I hope that i can get this cut. Has anyone had luck on getting the alarm configed?

 

It should be the same key. I've searched and it seems the 83-98 Maxima all share the same key blank.

The alarm will not work.

 

Dealer should be able to cut it; my local dealer cut mine and it works flawlessly

Yeah my local dealer cut my key for me and it does work flawlessly. I only wish that I could get the remote programmed for it.

i took apart the stock remote and the new remote... not worth trying to fit in the stock remote board into the new key..

so there's no way to program these?
