Gauging Interest in "motivational" style rear shock mounts

Who would be willing to pony up for some replacement rear shock mounts that give back almost all of the rear suspension travel lost with lowering springs?

Motivational does not make them for Maximas any more. I made some of these type mounts for myself and a couple of other ORGers a couple of years ago. If enough people are interested, I will do another production run. The first run would be for 4th Gens only. As soon as I get ahold of a 5th Gen to take some measurements, those would follow.

The price would probably be around half of what Motivational used to charge. I will take some pics this weekend and gather more info.

Post up if you are interested or think there would be enough interest to get this rolling.

Thanks.

Hmmm. See if any vendors want to stock them? You might as well make a few extra bucks on the side.

Would that fit my maxima which will get a set of D2 coilover soon ? If yes then I'm interested, but I have a 5th gen (2001 ).

Cheers

Yes, they will work with coilovers, but as I mentioned, I haven't measured a 5th Gen yet to get the parts developed.

What is the big deal on these? i was going to get them when i did my GCs and AGX install but i ran a bit short... what does this improve (i know it increases suspension travel)? but why do you want this? i am dropped about 2 inches all around with the GCs, would this improve JUST the life of my struts? improve ride quality? handling? etc?

someone educate me fully on these please?

These mounts relocate the mounting point of the shock piston and bumpstop to restore some of the suspension travel lost when lowering springs are installed. The benefits are a smoother ride and more consistent handling. You'll notice the car feels more stable on bumpy roads, especially around corners.

This pic shows how the shock piston is relocated:

The final product will be made of steel with a painted finish to prevent rusting. I'm still getting pricing and delivery times worked out. I'll start a new thread for the real GD when it's all finalized.

I'm Ben.

That's my review and Cyrus's (Vyrus on the ORG) reviews.
