Two newly-designed 04+ header sets have been included for evaluation with the shipment of 95-03 headers that arrives this week. One is for dyno testing (primarily) on a 6Gen automatic; the fit should be good because it was designed on an automatic, but we'll also confirm that since its a New Zealand automatic (they look quite different on the outside but are obviously the same car, check out New Zealand Nissan Maxima site for a retrospective of the NZ Maxima series and the new 04).

We'll use the second set for fitment evaluation (and if it fits dyno testing) on a 6-speed; because the stock y-pipes are different on the automatic and 6Ms, we can't presume that the header designed for the auto will fit the 6M so that's the first thing that needs to be checked.

We're looking for Arizona 04 owners to work with us on the evaluation of the new design.

I got email saying that they are adding the HPC wash to clean and maintain ceramic coating and should be shipping today and tommorrow.

Sorry you missed this pre-sale. Everyone had to put their money up in advance of delivery, so it wasn't without risk since I could run off to Brazil without sending the parts. You never know, nobody has their parts yet and I could be writing from Ipanima.

Fortunately, I'm writing from Tucson and all the pre-paid headers are went out today or tomorrow and the $825 price is effective with this new batch.

FWIW, this isn't profiteering - I'm forced by the deteriorating value of the US dollar against the increasingly strong New Zealand dollar, which is easily documented. Every time I order these I pay the same price in NZ$ but it costs more in US$. It just took another huge slide, down 5% since I ordered the headers we just received. I remember when you could get $2.25 kiwi dollars for US$1.00 a couple of years ago, but now its about NZ$1.45 = US$1.00.

Without getting too political, I'll just say that you'd be paying a lot less for these if somebody else was in charge of US monetary policy.

Shipping will be about $55 via USPS. This is probably a little higher than what you'd pay us to ship via UPS or FedEx, but they'll hit you with a big bill when they deliver the package (above and beyond your Federal and Provincial taxes) so the USPS price is cheaper in the end.

The wash is a $12 bottle of juice, but its included as a favor and to emphasize the need to follow the HPC maintenance instructions (included with the set). In mild climates, its simply an appearance issue, but when the car is driven in winter conditions you've got to keep the road chemicals washed off of the surface to maintain the integrity of the coating.
