VQ 30 and 35 4th and 5th gen Stainless Steel Clutch lines !!
As soon as someone confirms it won't fit on a 5th gen, ie 2000-2003, or the new longer one will fit, I'll mail it back.
It's a PITA for me to get to the post office nowadays, so I don't want to mail it back until we know for sure where/what the problem is.

Next Batch of lines has arrived!
I measured them out and they are roughly 17 - 17 1/4" long end to end. This is 2 " or a little more longer than the old one, and should fit great according to what everyone has said. The orders that I have been holding will be shipping with tomorrow's mail, and once I get the returns from those who want the new line I will be sending them out. Thank you to everyone who has ordered! Help to keep this going, spread the word on these clutch lines!

**Edit**
The length of the "upper" line on an 02 is 13"
I don't see a lower line in the system, all other lines seen below are hard. So at least for the 5.5 gen there is only one hose and it looks like the original shorter line was intended for 5th gens as I doubt it's different between 3.0 & 3.5

great info maximaman! When you order just let me know the year of your maxima and that should be good. Before sending out any lines to other 5th genners though I want to hear back from someone who can confirm the correct length. It has been difficult to get accurate length measurements on these things as you can tell!

Alex, you might want to check yours before you send it back. The hose is right under where the stock air box sits, and the lock plate & bracket are mounted to the trans mount. The other end connects to the top of the trans, very easy to access

Great info maximaman! UPDATE: for all 5.5 gens keep your lines! You may actually have the right length. Wait until PoLo or another 5.5 genner can let us know if the line fits correctly on their car!

The line here available replaces all the "soft lines" which is the most important part. the line hal and frank are talking about would be custom made and replace the "hard line" in addition to all of the "soft lines". This does not have a lot of effect on the clutch feel, but what it does do is it gets rid of a lot of the loops and space that the hardline takes up.

UPDATE 10/26/04: maximaman777 has done some research and has informed me that the line originally made appears as if it was made for the 5.5 (or VQ35DE) gens. This is probably where the confusion has come from. Anyways, if you have a 5.5 gen you have the right line already and have no need to send it back. Thank you to maximaman777 for the info!

Hey Rob, sorry it has taken so long for your order. I have been holding on to the 5.5 gen's because I want to make sure I ship out the right length line to you guys. Now that we know, your line will probably ship out tomorrow as well as all the other 5.5 genners waiting. Thank you to everyone for your patience throughout this!
Thanks...I meant to get to it this past weekend, but no luck. Hopefully, this weekend.

Hey Matt 01se, the 2000-2001 cables are the same as the 4th gen vq's. it's the 2k2 and 2k3 ones we were investigating, but that's all been cleared up now.

Has everyone sent their old lines back that wants a replacement one? I have only received a few back which have in-turn shipped back out already. Are there any more coming?
