H&R vs. Tokico Springs

What springs do you guys think are best with these Illuminas?

Looks like you can get a full Tokico setup for $550 shipped off eBay.

Best price for Illuminas + H&R is $408 + $195 = $603 shipped through two current GD's.

Bottom line.... are the H&R's worth the extra $53???

You could try the H-tein springs to cut your price some. Either way you need the illumina's at $408. This is one of the best deals running!!
I got these on the last deal, then I went with H&R's at $200. All of these springs are so much better than stock, you can't go wrong!!

Yes, except that if I get the Illuminas here, I'll never find springs that will bring my total close to the $550 on the eBay package. So in the end, I still have to decide, in essence, if the H&R's worth $50+ more.

updated list

4th gen
JMooney5115
Mark97SE (rear)
Terran
na95gle
SUPASTEVE
Analog-SE (expressed interest)
BigJayx23
Naijai (beginning of next year)
bckncook (expressed interest)
Jim Sundin (expressed interest)
Wademax

5th gen
wcasskicker
max5spd (beginning of next year)
brettb
mjk
Black-maxim
HitmanAngel2k3 (if the deal happens soon)

You can get used springs (I got some slightly used H-techs for $135 shipped). If you want tokico springs then go with ebay ones. It is also possible that the jdmwerk's kit actually comes with vogtland springs (there were a few threads of people trying to figure out what they had gotten and that was the conclusion)...it is suspected vogtland may be the company that actually makes the tokico springs.

Illumina's go well with ALL springs, so check out maxmods to help you decide what you want (drop, handling, etc)

The phone number is 1-866-399-4215, and the contact name is Brad. I just called however and evidently Brad is on a business trip, but they gave me his email and said he would be able to set up the GD even though he is not at the office. I'm going to email him as soon as I finish typing this.

Anybody else want in?

I think Krmaxima has kind of passed the torch along as he already has his set from the last GD so I'll probably be dealing directly with Brad.

We have enough as long as the terms remain the same as the last GD, however I still haven't heard back from Brad. As I said above he is aparently on a business trip so that probably slows down his responses.

The way it worked last time was Brad gave krmaxima (this time it will be me) a code which people could input when ordering on the website.

I still haven't heard back from Brad, so I'm afraid we may have to wait for news on this. If he hasn't emailed me back by monday I'll call him since he should be back from his business trip by then.

Brad replied. Here's what he said:
"Im sorry it has taken so long to get back to you but we were in Las
Vegas
for the SEMA convention. We have just placed another order with TOkico
and
it should be here in about 14 days. So if you can please send me the
numbers of how needs what. We may have some of the newer models still
in
stock."

Looks like it'll be at least 14 days for us 4th gens. Sounds like he may still have some for the 5th gens, so you guys may be hearing from me sooner than that.

Why do you want to be in as "expressed interest"? Just your name means you're in. That's what you were saying right? I put "expressed interest" for people who asked a question but never actually said they wanted in.

No you can't...sorry. If you read the whole thread you'll see that the next order won't be in for about two weeks. There may be some 5th gen sets left, but there are quite a few in front of you. You have been added to the list.

I just got back from work, so I couldn't call and brad hasn't replied to my second email yet, so I don't know if there are any more 5th gen sets left.

On november 5th his email (which can be found on the second page) stated "We have just placed another order with Tokico and it should be here in about 14 days." So around November 19th.

Attn: Analog-SE, Naijai, bckncook, Jim Sundin, and max5spd.

Since we are getting up there in numbers and may have more interest than this GD can support I think I am going to move those with "expressed interest" or "beginning of next year" to the end of the list unless you post saying you are definitely in. This will mean that if the vendor doesn't have enough sets (I believe 10 for each gen...but I'm not sure) then you will not get a discount code...that is I'll send it to the first ten people on the list.

Let's say I'll give you at least until 9pm tomarrow.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if brad would be willing to do this GD again...so if you get bumped down and want in later you will likely be able to get in on (or start) a 3rd deal.
