Is this just for the stick shift boot or can we get the e-brake boot and armrest cover as well?

Thanks! Ordering right now....

P.s. Any chance of ever making the 'simulated leather' panels above the armrest in real leather?

Maciek,
GLEs or fully loaded SEs get the 'pleated' simulated leather above the armrest in the door panel. The fake leather always bothered me. That would be really cool if you could make those in real leather. Pics:

Yes, you need to re-use all metal/plastic components from your stock boots.

Maciek;

I ordered my 02 max 6 speed shift boot about a week ago. Question i had for you, is that from the picture it appears the boot doesn't sit above the plastic lockout ring portion that sits under the stock boot. Was this boot still in the process of being installed (not yet pulled up all the way?) or is this the normal way it sits? If this is a problem, how can i modify the boot to not have that issue.
THanks,

Marc.

All our boots have the exact same shape as the stock ones, so it is possible to install them to look just like the stock items. Not sure why the one you're referring to was installed below the lockout ring, but it can be installed higher if the stock boot can.

Thank you,
Maciek

Maciek,
Could you please answer my question about the door panel insert? I have asked you here and in an e-mail - both received no response. If the answer is no, it's no - not that big of a deal. I would just like an answer to my question, please. Thanks so much.

I was going to install my shifter boot, but it didn't fit.

It consist of four pieces two wide and two narrow ones, and they are supposed to be parallel to each other like so:

.--
| .|
| .|
.--
(don't pay attention to the dots)
but on the boot i got from redline the same pieces are next to each other like so:

--\
\. .\
----

UPDATE

RedlineGoods have a good customer service, they will be sending me another boot on Monday.

Can't wait to get it, the interior looks kinda weird with e-brake leather boot and factory rubber shift boot...

And also I put the boots in. They fit great and look great. Great bang for the buck.

Thank you! I'm glad you like them! I've no plans or doing the steering wheels though, sorry. I can sell you the leather (so that it's the same as the one on your boots), but I can't honestly recommend anyone to put it on.

Well, what can I say, all our products are hand-made and the seamstress is very much human and thus prone to make mistakes just like all of us. We'll send a new boot today. Please accept my apology for the situation.

Thank you,

Maybe a silly question, but are there any differences in the ebrake in a 2K1 with a 5-speed vs. an auto? I want to get an ebrake boot, but the site specifically states that the ebrake boot is for the 5-speed and I have an auto.

How do I say this... I personally believe there are no silly questions, only silly answers. Then again, it stands to reason that AUTOs (unless specified otherwise on our site) generally come with no shift boots, while the general design of the center console is identical to the manual (excluding the closest proximity of the shift lever). Ergo, the ebrake boots are identical between stick and AT, which I hope answers your question.

Hi everyone!

We'd like to announce some expansions to our color schemes. Here are some sample pictures.

1. Some new blue colors are available. The background of the picture below is our current blue leather. The random pieces are the new options.

2. We have acquired a beautiful SIERRA leather, it's absolutely fantastic. It's the little piece in the center of this picture. To it's right there is our BEIGE leather (so that you can see the comparison), the background is an original C5 Corvette light oak colored piece.

How to order these new colors? Please choose "Other" as the leather in the combo-boxes in our order form, and use the note field to tell us which one you want: Sierra, light blue, navy blue or violety blue.

We'll post better pictures as soon as they become available (very soon!)

Here's a current 10% discount code to make it an easier decision: 3RL516N6E3U.

Thank you!

Maciek/Redline, here you say there are no silly questions yet I have asked a question at least 5 times now (bewteen e-mail and this thread) and you seem to keep ignoring me. Could you please answer my question?? Thank you.

Regarding the inserts ptatohed was asking about. Wouldn't it be cheaper if we just ordered the leather and re-fit them ourselves? I wouldn't think it would be too hard. How much do you charge for just the leather, Maciek?

Josh,

I did answer your emails. I ALWAYS answer all of them. As you know, 60-70% of all emails is spam and sometimes legitimate, solicited messages are caught in the anti-spam filters, which I bet is why you never got my response.

Anyway, you didn't check post #52, did you?

I was interested in the door panels, then something distracted me and in post #54 (I believe) I forgot to follow up. Apologies.

I'm DEFINITELY interested, but to do anything we need one set to use as templates. I need to know how they mount (thus, how can they be detached), etc.

Please let me know here and we'll keep working on it gladly!

Tony, what we charge for leather is proportional to the amount of leather you want, evidently. Please send me dimensions of those panels and how they attach and we can figure something out. It will probably be available as a pre-cut piece of leather that you'll have to have an interior install for you (depending on how they install), but we will DEFINITELY answer a demand knowing there is one.

Maciek, thanks for getting back to me. Of course I read post #52! As you can see I addressed it immediately in post #53.
Anyway, I have two cars with these inserts so as time allows I will remove the door panel on my extra Maxima and see what is envolved exactly in removing the inserts. I have had the door panels off before and if I remember correctly there is no easy way to remove the inserts. But I'll check for sure and report back. If I can get them off, would you be interested in me mailing them to you for templates?

I had a question for you. Obviously this would have made way more sense to have asked you before I placed my order but I just noticed it. If you look at the stock stuff (e-brake boot, armrest), you don't see the thread/stitching. I think I would actually prefer that on my real leather pieces from you. Is that something you could do?

Thanks

Hi,

we'll definitely need them to use as templates, so yes, I'd be very interested.

I can do it, no problem - just tell me in the note field you don't want the decorative stitching.

Well....that's great and everything.... but like I said, I already ordered.

Speaking of which, I have an e-mail from 02-04 stating I would receive my shipment in 6-10 business days. Today is 02-21. Is this normal?

Well, not really. Usually shipments go across faster. I assume the delay can be heavy customs traffic due to Valentines Day, lots of people ship things this way and back around then.

If you don't get it in the next few days, please let me know.

Thank you,

Well, yesterday was the last day I was going to give it before contacting you. They did show up. It took 20 days but that's o.k. I do have a few comments/questions/concerns if you don't mind:

1.) I save receipts/invoices for everything I do to/for my car. I did not see an invoice in the shipment you sent. Could you please mail me a receipt/invoice?

2.) I see instructions on your site for the shifter and e-brake but I do not see instruction for the armrest.

3.) Overall I am very impressed by the craftsmanship/quality. Stand alone, they look great. My problem is that they look nothing like my stock leather seats! (texture-wise that is, the color is fine) I am actually pretty bummed about this Maciek. Your leather is very textured whereas the stock seats/steering wheel/shifter are very smooth. I really do wish your leather matched the smooth seats more. Is there a possibility of exchanging these for smooth leather?

Thanks in advance.

Maciek, still waiting for a reply please sir. Thank you.

- Josh

P.s. Remember how I mentioned to you that one armrest cover may not cover all years ('95-'99) as listed on your site? This is due to the center console being revised in '97. Well, I have a '96 and a '99 so I compared them and they are nothing alike. The armrest cover you sent fits the '97-'99s, not the '95/'96s. That's fine in my case because I bought it for my '99 but I just want you to be aware that the armrest cover you make won't fit '95 and '96 so you may want to design one for '95 and '96 or change your website to only list '97-'99. The '95/'96 is much more rounded and it's even a tad longer (your cover wouldn't even fit over it). If you pay for shipping and promise to return it, I would be happy to loan you my '96 armrest.
