As for the colored CF hoods, I'll ask and see how much more it would be. I'm sure those will cost more though. Let's keep the list going. hey no biggie.. i just couldn't wait for another GD so i went ahead and did the work myself. I didn't really wanna pay 400+crazy shipping (which was like 100~150) for a hood and i think this is pretty decent price and get a free eyelids in the process

I still haven't gotten a reply back from carbon efx for lowering the price but we'll see what's up. should know within 24 hours i think.

 

any chance on getting the eyelids them selves, i already have a hood, how much would the charge just for some cf eyelids

 

You should try going one of the forum sponsor websites like redlinemax.com.. i think they have non cf for 35 + shipping. I don't know where they sell the cf ones and I wanna just focus on the hoods right now with them.

ive already contacted them with no answer back as far as a silver and white weave. if you can get this thrown in for a small premium and the price lowered a little, i can swing it in july

We need 10 or more to buy at this price. For those that do not want the CF lids, you can sell them and get some cash after. This is what they have set up for us and I think I can't get any lower price than this. Color CF and the weight, they have not yet replied to me.

I see a quit a few people that wants this in July. Well to be fair to everyone, I'm thinking we should go ahead and buy these as soon as we get 10 people to buy. We have 6 people that's willing to buy so far but who knows.. maybe someone already changed their mind. We'll see how long it takes to get that 10 people.

 

Damn. I just paid $490 for the extact same thing. Great hood, but you WILL need hood pins.

 

Don't be so cheap guys. It's only $35 bucks more than what we originally planned, and CF eyelids are being thrown in the deal. If you don't want them, sell them on ebay and make your $35 back.

You can count me in provided the quality is as good as you say it is, it's lightweight, rolled edges etc etc.

Any progress on getting us the weight of the hood? Thanks.

 

Carbon EFX is from what I hear a very trustable and good quality company who only specializes in carbon fiber products. It's rolled edges and OEM fit. I haven't gotten a reply back for the better quality pictures and weight yet. I'll let you guys know. I guess 3 more people if no one backed out.

Alright. They said they will take pictures of front and the back and send it to me. Also they said the weight is approximately 22~23lbs.

Isn't that a bit heavy? C-Wings hood weighs in at 19.5 lbs (for comparison).

The stock hood weight is 44 lbs

 

OMG... are you guys kidding me? your gonna pass up this deal over a mere 3-4 lbs? So wat if the C-Wings weigh 3.5 lbs less, ITS NOT GONNA MATTER!

 

that is still a bit pricy, and I don't actually like the carbon fiber eye lids so they don't sway me at all, otherwise I would definatly go for the deal

 

You can always sell the eyelids and get some cash for it if you don't like it. Also, I would like to remind everyone that I'm not making any profits or anything. I'm just another guy that wants CF hood for a decent price. $415 shipped for CF hood and CF eyelids is pretty damn good price to me. I'm not forcing anyone to buy one.

With that said, c'mon let's get some CF hood!!

P.S. Once we get the 10, I'll PM each person to find out if they'll go through with the purchase, than I'll post an update.

i dont know how interested i am in this anymore. there are 3 other possibilities for me, 1. the new hood from custommaxima.com 2. theres a deal for a cf hood and trunk lid 3. theres a guy going to make a new cf hood, its gonna look sick. SO... count me out for now. might come back to this if none of those work out soon.

 

Yea, im in the same position. I can pick up the c-wing hood for less since I will be in the LA area in about a month. And since weight reduction is my big thing I'd rather not pay a bit more for a heavier hood, even though its a nice one.
