4th GEN CF Hood????

I want to know if there is any intrest in a Carbon Fiber GD. I know there has been one before, I think for 300 but the closest I can set up this deal would be for 380 shipped. I would need 5 buyers. The hoods would be ready to ship the first week of April.

These are the features of the hood. I will post pics later. I just want to know if there is intrest if not I wont bother going through the work of trying to set it up.

Excellent Fitment
Non Rolled Edges
High Quality Carbon Fiber Weave
Holes drilled for washer nozzles
Latches are bolted on
Latches are fully functional

Do you have a website so we can see their work? If not, are they in the Chicagoland area so I can stop by and see some? I may be in the market if they will make a monster style.

Why non-rolled edges? That's lame. Make them rolled and you could count me in. Is it a cost issue? If so, jack up the price a little and get us rolled edges.

Rolled edges. Now we're getting somewhere. How do you know about the quality? Please explain in detail, don't be vague. On the last GD that went down a month or two ago, quality was supposed to be high, but they turned out pretty poor given everyone's feedback. Let us know. I look forward to learning more about this. Thank you.

James, hector and i live in the same city as the shop. We will try to meet up with the seller, take pics and tell you what we think the overall quality of the kit is.

Don-keep us posted.

Funny how this comes along when I discover it would cost $950 to replace and repaint my hood...

I would consider getting in but the main issue for me is weight reduction. I'd be stoked if it was less than 15 lbs. Thanks

Update?

Any news? You said they were coming in at the end of last month. It's pretty much 3 weeks past that. Is it simply a delay, or is this cf hood a no-go now? Please keep us updated.

Wouldnt just weighing yourself then weighing yourself carrying the hood then subtracting your weight from the total work?

I am sure that would work, but I think people are more intrested in a precise measurement (i.e. 14.2 lbs or something like that). I will do my best to get the most accurate measurement. Watch for a post in the 4th gen forums next week. I should have pictures and a full review of fitment and finish.
