Ksport 2005 Drift Season KickOff Special. $740 shipped!
you do not need to turn the damping all the way up, people tend to start very soft on damping and then go towards harder as they tune. People rarely ever turn their damping all the way up unless there is a reason for competition use.

Some comments on the damping issue:
I spoke with someone at K-Sport on the phone and he indicated that for a certain set of valving parameters there is a range of spring rates that it can handle properly. Note that valving and damping are not the same; damping is how much overall force the shock applies to prevent unnecessary movement, and valving is how the shock reacts to high forces vs. soft forces. Anyway, the guy I spoke with indicated that when you go above or below a certain spring rate, you have to change the valving... maybe 9/6 is just on the upper end of what the shocks can accomodate with their valving, so you have to dial in high amounts of damping.
Of course, it could also just be that the shocks need to break in first, and once they're broken in, you don't need full damping.

I think it's safe to say that if you're a real stickler for comfort (although I'm not sure why you'd be buying coilovers if you were), you could go with 7/5 springs and have a good range of damping to play with. Of course, you'd probably sacrifice a lot of handling, and that setup would be more understeer-biased, but hey... good to know we have the choice, right?

well guys i just fiddled with the dampening to day, and the bouncyness is gone, oh man am i happy, it still rides pretty nice, all i did was put the rears up some more, cuz that was where the bouncyness was coming from,
i figured out that there aer 4 full turns for the rear struts from Hard to Soft, so at the moment i have them turned 1 Full turn away from Hard, and it got rid of the bouncyness, i will fiddle with it next week after a bit of settling time. But at the moment i have these things slammed down, 2 finger gap ALL around, and oh man, its so sexy... haha
But like Doodfood said if your a stickler for comfort, dont even bother with coilovers, no matter what it will be a little rougher. I really do like the ride that these give me, and i have give 3 people rides, and they all like it a lot. and are all maxima owners.
also if you look at the pics that dave put up, my rear end is a little higher, i fixed that today, they are pretty much even now, and it looks so nice. I will be taking pics of my car tomarrow after work, i forgot to grab my camera before heading to daves house, so i dont have pics of the top mounts, i will do that also tomarrow.

ksport's valving is tageted for a wide range of springs rates so u can adjust the damping and deal in. I believe they do off customize valving service for extra charge but not sure how much.

in your opinion should we put preload on our springs?
in your opinion should we put preload on our springs?Preload will increase the amount that the springs push up on the car. Of course, that also means that it will increase how quickly and how hard they push the wheel down after you clear a bump or run over a ditch. Basically, it'd give you a bouncier ride but less lean. It would also wear out your shocks a little faster because it will make them move faster.
Apparently K-Sport reccommends no preload at all, if that's worth anything to you. Personally, I'd think the springs would be stiff enough as they are and there'd be no need for preload.

Basically, the valving is such that you can go with the default 9/6 springs and high damping for the best handling, or you can go with 7/5 springs and reduce the damping for a smoother ride. I think that's a pretty good setup, and certainly a steal for $740 shipped.
Valving the shocks specifically for the 9/6 springs rather than a range of spring rates would be a waste of time and money for most people. You'd end up with coilovers that'd cost a lot more because the development costs would be huge, and the benefit wouldn't even be noticed by almost everyone.
for all Hawaii orders, Shipping is $90 more. Please send the shipping charge to jinsupower@gmail.com along with your order.
OK im FINALY ready to purchase. just wanna make sure. are u using UPS or USPS? basically i need to know if u will require my PO box or street address to ship. can u PM me your answer so i get it ASAP and can send money thanks!

We require physical address cause the coilovers will be too big for PO Box. When you order though the link, it will ask you for your shipping addres. For all HI orders, just paypal the extra shipping charge to the paypal address above ^

I have the D2's (very SIMILAR) to the KSports, they were pretty rough at first, I have had them for on for about three weeks and about 900 miles on them and they feel much better now that the springs are starting to settle and the struts are breaking in.
Off topic... i just installed my Cattman Cat-Back today and it sounds great!!
hey jinsu....i oredered the suspension to ship to hawaii....i already made two payments for shipping and the suspension.....its actually under my girlfriends paypal account cause i didnt want to make one..... well my name is russell and my number is (808) 368-6767....give me a call and let me know how long its going to take...thanks, russell
Alright, I have a couple of post-install pics. I am still unable to post attachments, though, so I set up a Cardomain account. Most of the pics I have are too blurry, so I only posted the few clear ones. http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/850151/1
for ppl that don't know, check out our new online store at www.jinsu-power.com
Nismotek, if you haven't ordered your rism yet then let me know what u interested in, i do carry alot wheels brands as well.

So, just to be sure I won't miss the boat- I can paypal the $740 on the 31st and be "in", right? This sounds like what I have been waiting for..
Only possible issue is that I have Koni yellows in there right now... I dont know if I still have the rubber top part that people are talking about...
Will I find out that I am missing something?

Im getting super-stoked....
My deal is that my 2 front Koni yellows are blown, and I am heading back to the shop that got me them next week (thurs) to talk about my options - like if they can get them replaced for free. (Heard they had lifetime warranties??)
Now Im thinking I will just ask the guy to get the konis replaced, hand 'em over, and do the install on the coilovers. I guess I will be looking to sell the konis along with the Eibach springs. But until I deal with this I figure I should wait to order the COs.
BUT....
Jinsu, you can get wheels? I'd be interested finding out what the price of SSR-C's in 15x7, 15x7.5, 16x7 and 16x7.5 are, if you can get em.

I do have application for 03-up G35, they come with front and rear top mounts but no camber plates because there is either no more or it won't do anything to this particular application. Special pricng for G35 is $880shipped. (retails at $1400)
Spaniard, pm me for wheels along with size, offset, and bolt pattern. I will see what i can do.

Just wanted to share... I've been doing a lot of homework on this stuff.
