I have a 2000 and want to order these COs. I'm just confused as to what i need in addition to mount these on my car(something about a rear mount). And where can I get it? My friend said he would be able to install as long as I had all the parts. Thanks in advance.

it's a rubber piece that you take off your stock rear suspension.

You can get the rubber upper mount from the stock rear struts, or buy them from Nissan. I'm not sure about the cost, though.

Can someone post a picture of this rear rubber piece or circle the part in the picture above? I currently have a Ground Control/Koni setup and I'm not sure if I have this part installed right now, since I sold my entire stock suspension.

I just talked to a Nissan Dealership. Apparently, this is not a gasket but the actual Strut mount... Where the strut connects to the car...

The parts rep said he didnt think it would be possible to to install a strut without it and that I almost for sure still have it. So Im counting on that being the case, especially since ....-- they are $56.00 EACH...

EDIT: So I guess the question should be asked - has ANYONE found that they needed to buy this part or that it wasnt on the car anymore?

you can go -2kg from the default rate but ksport will not gurantee the kit will have a good ride. Ksport engineers have tried all settings and designed the best combination. If you feel confidentenough that you know more about suspension and the inner working of ksport then order whatever you feel like to. But I would not recommend it.

a mismatched spring/shock suspension will give harsh, bouncy and unpredicatble turning and weight transfer.

This is true. Guys, you should just stick with the given spring rates, or buy an extra set of springs with lower spring rates from jinsu.

I just put comptech springs on my RSX and each spring i believe was a diffferent weight because the cars weight is diff all the way around are these done like this ?

And also my max right now weighs around 2600lbs by the time i order these itr will prob be low 2500's. Shouldnt i need a tottaly diff spring rate setup than say a 3100lb maxima?

Thanks just curious because my car has H&R 's and tokico blues and my car rides higher than stock even with H&R drop

AFAIK, no one's even researched the Max extensively enough to be able to work out a setup with different spring rates all around.

You could probably get away with lower spring rates. Keep in mind, though, that these coilovers probably won't sit hugely higher than normal if your car is light. If they do, you can just lower them.

you can have a good ride on different spring rates other than what KSport chose....

I have the same spring rates as KSport and they are borderline too stiff for daily driving, however, the car takes turns like never before... if I could do it over again I would have gone a step softer for better daily driving.

the trick is to match the front and rear properly. KSport chose those spring rates for the best cornering and handling, not comfort...

True.... but then they valved the shocks for maximum control with those spring rates and the weight of the car, and good comfort naturally follows from that. They did put handling first and comfort second, but at least you end up with a balance.

If comfort is your first priority on the list when u look for suspensions, then you should never considered a competition coilover like ksport to begin with.
Spring matching take extensive knowledge in suspension and the car and isn't an easy job for most average joes out there. So i would recommend to go with the default rate that ksport sends out.

Jinsu, I take it there are some troubles with shipping from the factory and you guys are gonna have to expedite shipping on some orders just to be able to fill them. I work at an Internet-based retailer so I feel your pain! Let me assure you though, if I get my order promptly and it works out as well as I think it will, you can be damn sure I'll do my part to help make sure K-Sport gets the publicity it deserves.

Agreed, Spaniard?

Fully agreed..!
If I get these in 15 days I would be glad to replace my TIRERACK sticker with a K-SPORT sticker and sing the virtues of these coilovers as I decimate the competition in time trials this season ...
