Ok, a few questions.. I am new to my vehicle, and i got a great deal on a used (17K miles), 6Gen 2005 Maxima SE.. got it from an off shoot dealer from auction.

I dont know if i have the HID or the reg Halogen? Sounds stupid, and i havent had time to check deeply or take it into a NISSAN Dealer to check it out. I do have the fogs too, and they seem very bright... How can i check myself if i know for sure that i have the HID's(Xenon)Kit already installed, or have the halogen..

I guess if its the Halogen the bulb is the 9012 / H13 and i guess this is for the stock headlamps.

Is the H3 Mini standard for the fogs, even if its the halogen set-up???

If i do have the Xenon setup on my car, what are the H numbers for the bulbs i need to replace...

I want to get the 7000K for the Headlamps and 9000K for the Fogs.. I also want it so I CAN use the highbeams, so i guess that means Hi/Lo???

Last but not least.. I know that these are plug-and-play, but when connecting the bulbs, is there anything else i need to attach to the vehicle, like the conversion box???

Please also give me the total COST of this conversion..

I am VERY NEW to HID's, but have seen some done on vehicles and they looks great.. Please answer all my questions to the best of your ability.. Thanks very much...

Myk

hi there everyone, sorry for the late reply, my computer was down and Rita didnt help me last days. Anyway here we are.

jdm, we recommend you the 7000k kit on the headlight and 6000k on the fogs, Amazing setup.

97, i sent you the price of the kits, let me know some emails to send you again cause maybe its a filter on your email.

maxima-ghost, you need to know if your car has hids, very simply hehehe just turn the lights on and you will see, white light, hids, yellow light, halogen. The 6 gen maxima use H13 kits, you dont need anything to attach, just connect the kits and thats it. Also the H3 mini is special made for foglight, if you see the h3 bulb is very small, so we are the only one that carry that kind of bulbs to fit perfect.

Also for all the costumers who sent me pms about the high low 9004 and H13 kits with solenoid, well after more than 5 years we have tested tons of solenoids that make the bulbls moves up and down or back, forward, i have to say, "we are no interested" cause most of the solenoids failed in 1 year or less, so we took the position to not produce that kits, we dont need costumers after 1 year calling us about problems, warranties, etc, as you know we cant offer some cheap or bad products on the market, cause we have made huge efforts to have our certificates, ISOīs etc and then just drop it for one bad product.

Also, for us is not good to sells sometime to our costumers and 1 year later sells them another kit or pair of bulbs cause the parts failed after the warranty expires. So if you invest like $300 us on those kits, and later you will need to invest another $150 to replace the bulbs with solenoid, and again in 1 year another, it not fair for anybody.

I just want to tell you my point about it. Thatīs why we hace amazing results with H4 high lows with our setup.

Should I buy H3 standard size or H3 mini for my foglights in my 1999 maxima ? and do you have them in 9000k ? what do you think about 7000k in the headlights and 9000k in the fogs ? now, what if the bulbs burn out ? approz. how long do they live ? is there a warranty on these kits ? how much do the bulbs alone go for ?
Thanks

woow too much questions hehe, well standart hid h3 will not fit in your foglight thats why the h3 mini is the only one that will fit perfect in your car. Also i recomend you 7000k on the headlights and 6000k on the foglitht, remember that the fog light sometimes look more blue than normal due de small size of the fog light.

He's right, 7000k in your headlights with 6000k in your fogs will look sick. I have the 9004 7000k, and trust me, the light output is amazing, and gives you an awesome blue look. Aim them down a bit, and you'll be A ok.

yes, all the maxima members invest the money for combo kits H3 in 6000k and 7000k for the headlights on gen 3, 4, 5. The 6 gen. maxima did the same. For those who have already hids on the car with factory options they bought the h3 kit and replace the stock hid bulb with 6000k Dtype bulb.

The bulbs will outlast normal halogen bulbs times 3 or more if im not mistaken. Trust me, you wont be dissapointed with the HIDs he sells. They are amazing looking, and with the quality to match.

Goldtooth, did you look at the pics on my homepage? I've got the 9004 7000k kit, what do you think?

Here is the deal MB, i cant tell if they are HID's or not, not even the dealership could tell!!! My lights are really bright though.. what i will have to do is actually remove one of the bulbs and see if it is reallt a HID or not...

Now if i have HID's i guess i will have to get the d2s/d2r bulbs correct??

I need the prices on a 7000K headlight / 9000K Foglight set-up

Now if i have halogen i need the price on a 7000K headlight / 9000K foglight set-up i do believe its the H13 (2005 Maxima)

MB please give the prices for both kits, and i hope you have Hi/Lo for them as well.. I want to pass inspection. Hi/Lo means to keep your highbeams correct?

Please answer my questions MB so i can get you an order ASAP.... Thanks.

6000k is what the HID fogs are. I dunno what dealership you go to, but I dont see how they couldn't know if you have factory HIDs or not. At night, the 6th gens with HIDs are crazy bright. Purple/blue from a distance, and really white up close. If you have a ballast/igniter behind your bulbs, you have HIDs since normal halogen bulbs wont have that. Hi/Lo kit means you will have both high and low beams. Fogs dont have high or low beams. If you are worried about passing inspection, what you can do is just remove the HIDs and replace them with factory bulbs, and put them back once done. These are plug and play kits, so it'll take you 5-10 minutes to do so.

MaximaBest, did you send out my package?

I know someone has already asked, but what is the price of just the 6th gen maxima, headlight 7000K kit?

Is it correct that it is the H13 and that it is just plug and play on the 6th gen?

I really appreciate your help, I have searched through about 20 of these pages and not found the direct answer to this. Sorry if I am repeating what someone already answered in here.

Thanks!

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly with the 6th gen question!

Are there any 6th gener's out there that can atest to this being an easy, plug and play conversion? If so how did it turn out?

I have read other posts that say it is a more difficult task. I just dont want to rip apart my new (to me) car, I have ruined enough vehicles already in my lifetime.

that was my largest concern as well.. I saw a few other post saying that you would have to modify the back cover of the light so water will not get into them>> and they would not fit the HALOGEN TYPE HEADLIGHT UNITS?? So i guess these lights come with a conversion box correct. I think the guys here that have the HALOGEN H13/9012 need MB to explain EVERY DETAIL so they will stop asking the same questions over and over again... It has been asked throughout this thread, and it gets pushed back by those that are satisfied with their order or install..

So MB, PLEASE tell us all that is included and what it take to convert our STOCK OEM NON HID's into using your kit... THIS HAS TO BE PERSONAL EXPIERENCE NOT, HERESAY, so you can continue helping us and others with your great product from what i have read throughout this thread.

Please inform us.. Thanks.

Btw people i will try to post some video and pics for our flashing lamp, we tested in the past weeks. We saw at night a building that was 0.6 miles from our position.
