I have a couple questions. Well first off, your prices are great!

I stumbled on this site while doing an install for a friend... long story shot I came across this thread.

I'm looking to replace my headlights in my jeep grand cherokee, now chrystler, being oh so nice, put the hardest type of bulb to find in the jeeps. 9006XS for Low, and 9007XS for High Beams. I have some cheesy aftermarket bulbs in there, now.

Is there a way I could convert these into a H3 or plain 9006 and 9007 so I could purchase a HID Kit? Also, how much heat do these things generate, would it have any effect on the UV coating on my housings and would it warp the plastic?

thanks in advance

hi there, remember that the hids use 35W not 55W like normal halogen bulbs, also the helios ballast use 60W aprox on the start due the power converter so you dont have to worry about melting or the heat on your headlights. I will try to check the bulbs for you.

thanks MB..

I have a few questions now about the bulbs i need. I will be getting the OEM Xenon Headlights, i guess the D2S bulbs correct? I want a blueish hue to my lights, and i thought to have the 7000K for my headlights and 9000K for my fogs.. Is that a great set-up, or should i do something else? I will be replacing my turn signals as well with an LED white type bulb.. (need to find out which ones will fit and where to get them)...

Please let me know how much for the bulb replacements and most of all will these still work as a Hi/Lo for my highbeems? I need to pass inspection.. Thanks again for everything.

Myk

hi there maxima ghost, well if you will have factory hids yes the bulbs are d2s. I recomend you to install the 7000k d2s and H3 mini in 6k on the fogs, remember that the 6k mini works amazing and also give you the 7k tint due the small space on the fogs. As you are just replacing the bulbs all the normal option on your car will work and the fogs has different circuit so dont worry is fine.
I sent you the price thru pm.

I have to agree with Ghost. Will someone out there please tell us that they put the HID kit in with the original halogen housings? I have heard they they may have a different backing that makes the install a little more difficult than just mounting the balasts and pluging in the new lights.

Thanks...

2700K selective yellow, like the French Cars.

hi maximabest,

I was wondering if it is possible to get yellow HID bulbs. In that I mean, around the 2700K selective color range. As I want thease bulbs for my 2005 Maxima, I already have stock HIDs in there and now I'm looking to get HID fog lamps.

Im looking for

H3 2700K (yellow color) bulbs for 2005 Maxima Fog location.
Ballast & Wiring Kit.

Can you organize something like that?

Gracias amigo,

Kam

I was wondering if your kit will fit into the ebay proj, would it look right? also I believe they do not recommend using HID with these headlights, is there a reason for this? I am saving some money now for the 7k kit but I also want to swap the 01 headlights. Thanks!
