I have heard 3 and 4 inches for the drop. You need to reuse all mounting hardware and the top hats from the rear shocks. You will need a spring compressor to safely remove them which you can borrow for free from Autozone.

fir this coil over system you do not need anything......just take them out of the box and slap them on the car. The hardest part is just adjusting them right.....the install took no more than an hour

That is not true for a 2003 which is what he has. I just did mine and you need to reuse the rear top hats or purchase new ones. I don't believe that is the case for Gen 4, but it is for Gen 5.5 and probably Gen 5 too. You also do need to reuse the the mounting hardware because the new ones don't come with any.

for all 5th gen and 5.5 gens, they DO NOT directly bolt on....the fronts bolt on fine...but the rears must reuse the stock hats...

I made my setup a direct bolt on becuz I already bought new hats from the dealer...then the day before the installation, I put the rear hats on my Ksports so they were ready to be bolted on....they only cost $33 a pop

I am debating between these coilovers and a KYB AGX/Eibach set up. Would the ride be "better" with these coilovers because I have heard the AGXs ride really harsh. By better I mean more like a stock ride.

I was wondering if you guys knew where to get the serial # for these things. I just remembered that I forgot to register mine just if in case anything should go wrong with them within the one year warranty.

Also, what is the part number?

Hi Jinsu,

I purchased these coilovers from you about 3 months ago.

I had them installed professionally, and they were working fine...I was happy that I finally had a good setup for my suspension....

Unfortunately, I brought my car into the same place where they were installed, because i was having noise issues coming from the wheels ( so I thought), and the coilovers were riding rough. However, the mechanic told me that the shocks were leaking out, and that the noise was coming from them.....basically he said to contact the maker for a refund or exchange.

So I need to know what I must do to get a refund or exchange on these coilovers....I can't believe that I dropped almost a grand on these and now they are leaked out in only a few months......Jinsu can you please help me out man...Please!

one thing, make sure you using your lower mount for height adjust not the spring perches by compressing the springs. you add pre-load when u compress the spring and put alot more stress on the shocks. Make sure your mechanic knows that those are not the same as lot other coilover kit out there like the tein basic and such.

my rear right shock leaked out also. Its surprising since most of the time, the front shocks tend to blow first on 240sx's. My shocks were on my car for less than 3 months and it just started squeaking badly from the right rear shock. So I jacked up my car and checked it out and noticed oil comming out of the shock.

I just got an answer from ksportusa and they told me to ship it out to autoline industries for warranty testing/replacement. Great service and support if you ask me.

What are you suppost during shipping? Your car has to sit on jack stand waiting for them to test the shock and send back replacement??

how long have you had them on your ride? let them settle a bit and break em in. After the break in period i have found that 1/2 to 1 and 1/2 turn from full soft(towards H) will get rid of the bouncy ride, and make it pretty comfy.

How long did it take for Ksport to get back to you, because I am still waiting for their reply. And what did they ask you to provide (receipt?) or did you just ship out the set?

You're absolutely right. I was just curious if it was an extreme case like being lowered 4 inches or something. The reality is that they shouldn't leak this soon at all. I sure hope we don't start seeing a flood of people with shocks starting to leak after a few months.

I just got back from my trip to tahiti. I'll have to check at work tomorrow to see if my replacement coilover came in or not, it should have been shipped on december 19th by a coworker of mine. Ksport asked for proof of purchase and a brief letter describing the problem. I typed everything out and shipped it out through my FedEx business account (for record purposes). just to be safe I wanted to do it via fedex for tacking purposes. So that they don't come telling me that they didn't receive it n stuff. I'm sure you could use priority mail or something and just do a signature confirmation on arrival, but fedex is a bit quicker and I really want my shocks back on my car for the next drift session here in hawaii.

I just got off the phone with the guys from autoline (ksport's distributor in the US) and they told me that they had received it and replaced it. It should get shipped out tomorrow and back on my car by this week-end or early next week. The reason it took them so long to ship it back is due to the fact that all of the tech guys went on vacation during the holidays and I can understand that. All in all, they behave like pro and I'm very satisfied with the service.
