US Postal Service will get it there in 4-10 days for $33, 3-5 days for $48 - fully insured. UPS, FedEx, etc. may be cheaper on the front end, but by the time you pay the hidden brokerage and other fees at delivery, you'll pay more. Many of our Canadian customers insist on USPS after getting dinged by the private carriers (they even charge a fee for collecting the fees!).

No matter how they arrive you'll have to pay GST/PST on the declared value, but that's all there is to it with a USPS shipment.

Just a reminder that the only years where the emissions types matters is 1999 or 2000. If you have a 95-98 or an 01-03 (and 04 I35s), the emissions system has no effect on the Cattman y-pipe you buy.

By the way, I have a warpspeed Y-pipe and I have never been quite satisfied with its performance. First, the exhaust hanger bracket is not welded to the pipe but is a piece of metal attached to an exhaust clamp. Second, the flange of the Y-pipe that mates with the catalytic converter is not flat because they flared the pipe and simply left the flange loose...I'm guessing these two eccentricities were engineered to compensate for bending irregularities in the pipe itself that would otherwise compromise installation. Incidentally, because of the ~3mm or so of flared pipe protruding into the mating area of the flanges, it is almost impossible to get a good flat seal on the flange gasket. Unfortunately, all of this results in a very sloppy install that is not solid and is prone to leaking.

There are also two additional unpleasant consequences I have noticed from this: 1)the y-pipe will sometimes come into contact with the frame crossmember that sits just before the catalytic converter unless I really wrench on the hanger contraption. Still although it doesn't sound like I have bees in a can, there is a buzzing vibration that I feel between 1000-1200 rpms which reappears again at 1600-2100rpms. Many people wouldn't notice, but I do. I have tried numerous times to remedy this by loosening the exhaust and manipulating it into different positions, but to no avail the buzz feeling still continues. One other caveat of the Warpspeed Y-pipe is that the O2 sensor bungs were not mounted at the appropriate angle for clearance around parts of the undercarriage...it fits, but just barely. And, as someone already mentioned, an aluminized pipe for $200 does not compare to a stainless steel pipe for around $300. I hope the Cattman Y-pipe alleviates my headaches.

Brian, do you happen to have any pictures that show how your Y-pipe hanger looks when it is installed.

This list is really useful - I wouldn't have estimated the proportions correctly at all - more 99-01 CA/NLEV y-pipes and fewer 95-98 y-pipes than I would have expected.

As far as the review of the other y-pipe brand, couldn't have said it better myself. None of the issues you mention are present on the Cattman y-pipe, that's not how we design parts.

Here's a picture of our YG5CA pipe (for 99-01 CA/NLEV Maximas and I30s). I'll point out three features - 1) the welded hanger that come up over the flex, 2) all of the extra-thick 3/8" flanges are welded on (floppy flanges = warping and bad seals), and most importantly 3) the 2-1 merge collector that our pipes feature is unique, and a major source of the Cattman performance advantage. Also note the installation kit that is included with the pipe, rather than an extra charge.

If you were to go back through all the posts (and I don't blame you for not doing that), you'd find that the price hasn't been pinned down yet because I'm still waiting to get a significant bill for some machine work and don't know my final unit cost under a new production arrangement. I'd said that it would be 15-20% off and that's still the range the price will fall in, so that will give you a pretty good idea.
