AMSOIL New Ea Air Filters - Dealer Cost

AMSOIL recently announced the introduction of a new premium, high efficiency air filter utilizing nanofiber technology with a four year/100,000 mile service life guarantee and superior air flow. Positioning itself to be a world class leader in filtration, the AMSOIL Ea Filter is incomparable in both design and performance.

In lab testing Ea media with nanofibers removed 5 times more dust than the average cellulose filter and 50 times more dust than the average wet gauze media. Ea media also has 3 times the airflow of cellulose filters and is equal to wet gauze filters at the very low 0.5 inches of restriction. The proprietary Ea media held 15 times more dust than the average wet gauze type filter. In short, AMSOIL Ea Filters offer superior performance in the three critical performance benchmarks of efficiency, flow and capacity.

Dealer cost (of course) for our members. Maxima application $26.00 ($34.15 retail) plus your local sales tax and shipping per AMSOIL's published policies and rates. See links below for more info...

Don't know off hand, but I'll check tomorrow and post what I find out.

This new technology appears to be the same as what Donaldson uses in their Endurance filters for heavy-duty appplications. Donaldson is a premiere manufacturer of top quality filtration products and their filters are widely regarded as the best there is. It is my understanding that this technology is used in air filters for the M-1 tank...and we know what type environments those have to operate in.

If you have a part number for the filter you are currently using, pls share it with me and I'll see if I can cross-reference it.

RU-2820 is the K&N part number I searched for but nothing came up. K&N has many cone filters that will fit and they all have differ part numbers.

In response to the several questions concerning aftermarket or cone filter elements, AMSOIL tech services advises:

"EaA filters are only available for a limited number of original equipment replacements "

sorry...

I'd love to help you, but shipping to HI is extremely expensive. Recommend you contact Chuck's Corvette Clinic in Honolulu..they are probably the largest AMSOIL distributors on the island and I understand that they place a couple large orders per month for local customers...that will save you a bundle in shipping.

The normal published ground shipping rates that I typically use to calculate quotes don't apply for shipments to Hawaii...I believe everything but huge orders go by air. If you want to pay with a credit card and agree to pay actual shipping charges, then I'd be happy to order anything you want. All orders to Hawaii are shipped from the product center in Portland OR. Pls send me a PM if you want to order...

i see what u mean.

i wanted to GIVE this filter a shot being it AMSOIL . but i dont feel like paying expensive if companies will go w/ teh normal carriers, i.e. FED EX, UPS.

USPS isn't bad actually... many flat rate boxe,s let alone putting it in the bubble packages can certainly be cheaper, but i understand how it can be.

thanks..

Why not order one from Chuck's Corvette Clinic like I recommended? When I researched this before for another customer in Hawaii, the Portland Product Center told me that they ship out a couple pallets of stuff to them each month. With such large orders the rate is probably lower and they probably pro-rate the shipping.

Take a look at the 2nd link in the 1st message. Overall the airflow is a bit behind a K&N (if I am reading it correctly). But there's no oiling, and so should be no problems with the MAF going crazy on you if you accidentally over-oil.

The rest of the filter is superior to the K&N.

I am tempted myself as I have a stock airbox. What I'd like to see is if there's one that fits on the Berk Apexi system. Now THAT would kick butt!

I'm reading it the same way...airflow is slightly below a wet gauze fiter, but both are below the magic number of 0.5 which is considered "Excellent". As far as the other two categories of measurement, efficiency and capacity, the literature claims that the EaA filter is vastly superior to both wet gauze and cellulose.

I shot Bryan at Berk a quick email about the size requirement for his intakes (for a 2K Max). 3" x 6.5" (max length). I'm goin to shoot down to Kragen for a look over their stock Fram's to see if I can find one that's the correct size to try and X-Ref.

If anyone has a Berk intake that can check it out for certain, that would be killer.

I checked the on-line application guide and there is currently not an application for the Accord; but the company is continually evaluating the addition of sizes for other applications. The EaA filters are being offered in some of the applications where AMSOIL had previously offered the TS oiled foam filters, and there was not a TS application for the Accord. Again, sorry...
