Only remaining question is do the side markers compliment the black version? If so, Im in for 200 on the black ones (pending good review)

And 200 shipped for Headlights and Side lights is a great deal, I appreciate it.

I would be interested in a black housing headlight and black housing corner light combo. Would this still be 199 shipped?

Sure we could do that price, but the only corner lights we sell separately are the Diamond Cut Clear Corners:

http://www.customenterprise.com/view.../vts/design017

The black housing corner lights are sold as a set with the black housing headlights, not these headlights in this thread. I am trying to get just the black housing clear corners but the factory does not want to sell them separately. Doing my best. Its the Chinese New Year now, so not much can be done with the factories until it is over.
Thanks,
Greg

if you could get a set made with h4 bulbs they would own any other light out there. the black chrome cefiros are h4, but being aftermarket the beam pattern is terrible. a headlight is not for looks, they need to be functional.

the 99+ infiniti g20 headlight is a great design and someone should get something like that for us. they have the h4 bulb and when you aim them only the reflector inside moves, not the whole assembly. makes for a great fit everytime.

honestly, i dont think any of the aftermarket compainies are actually good at making lights, they always lack in some department. i know its due to cost and such, but i really gets to me. TYC, DEPO, ect. all have thier own issues. id rather have a non leeking, well fitting used OEM light than some cheap taiwanese one that looks "hyper jdm dimond euro", and doubles as a fish bowl.

Hey guys we need two testers that are willing to come to our building to let us install a set on your 95 or 96 maxima so we can take before and after pictures. Your cost on the set is $130 since you will be helping us out. Need a lighter color maxima for the crystal headlights and for the black crystal headlights we need a darker color maxima. Anyone able to do this?? This will help you all get a better idea of what they look like installed since I know that is what you want....right???

Email me at Greg@CustomEnterprise.com
Thanks,
Greg

How about some dual reflector housings? Ditch the dual filament design altogether. Separate high and low beams!!!!!!!1111

Only if this deal was a month and a half earlier, had to buy used headlights and now i'm almost done with my projector retrofit.

Projectors would have looked soo nice in these clear glass lenses.

I don't think it will reduce the light output. We can tell for sure when we do the test fit and do comparisons.

So can you do those for $199 shipped? If not are the black headlights and corner lights the same thing?

i would down for black housing for that price, but if you can get with other bulb than 9004 that would be awsome.

Is the black housing fully done like the AE mod? Or is it halfway done like the Euro set you sell on the site? Any pics yet?

My shipment has not arrived yet so I can't take pictures, but I am trying to get pictures from the factory and so far don't have them. Going to try again today, as soon as I get them I will post them on this thread. Also have someone coming down next week to install the black headlights on their maxima so we can get more pictures.

the tube over the bulb is not ment to be used with a clear lense. if you look at a 97-99 light there is a bulb shield to stop glare and help aim light. the 95/96 has "cloudy" glass that aims the light, so they dont need the cover. they use the short tube. there are pix in another thread if you want to see them.

This doesn't make any sense to me. You say in your first sentence that clear lenses don't need the bulb cover and then you say right after that, that the 97 lights have them. Don't 97 lights have a clear lense as well? Please clarify your statment.

For the guy who posted pics, they are glass, correct?

Thanks!

Oh and where are the blacked out ones at? I want to order some!!!

the 97-99 have a CAP over the bulb, its a shield. the couldy 95/96 lights have a TUBE, its not a full shield. the tube lets light escape though the front directly off the bulb. this causes glare. the reason OEM 95/96 lights have a tube is because the cloudy lense aims the light, not the reflector like 97-99.

All that needs to be done is to chage the tube to a full shield.

What JSutter means is that the open bulb shield installed in these new headlights are not designed to be used with clear lenses. The original 95-96 headlights had fluted lenses installed with this type of open bulb shield while the 97-99 headlights with clear lenses had a closed bulb shield. The fluted lens design allowed the light output from the exposed bulb to be controlled. This means that it minimized or eliminates the glare accustomed to an open type bulb shield. Using an open bulb shield with a clear lens will possibly cause too much glare to on-coming traffic. You can minimize this glare by aiming your headlights lower but will be sacrificing the light output/coverage. While I do think these headlights look very clean, they would be ideally suited for an HID projector retro. Unfortunately, since these headlights are primarily designed from 95-96 headlights, the clear lens will not be able to directly fit on an existing 97-99 headlight.

Are the headlights for the 95-96 a perfect fit and different units from the 97-99, or are the 95-99 headlights all the same - so 95-96 drivers will have to basically do a 97-99 front end conversion to properly install these headlights?

Yes... I was always under the impression that the 95-96 headlights are not identical to the 97-99... if I am wrong, I stand corrected. But I never really considered swapping out to a 97-99 headlight and I thought that was why.
