Yes this diff is definetely worth the money. Ive had mine for years and have been very happy with it on the track and on the streets. Doesnt make any weird noises and no driveability issues. Never had a problem with it, its outlasted 2 5th gen trannies already. Im considering buying one so I can sell it later and make a small amount of money....haha...maybe.

Thanks Mitch. There seem to be 3 deposits that are actually in the mail, so I'd say this deals just about definite.

I communicated with Quaife today, and all is still good at that end, they're just waiting for the deposit. I'm told that production will occur in the late April/early May timeframe, roughly 9-10 weeks.

He means just putting the deposit so far. You have done it, so no need to pay in full yet. They need to start producing these, and then we will be required to pay in full. Also the price will depend on the total tally of people getting these. The more people the lower the price for everyone. 15/16 was just the minimum to start it. Looks, like this is truly a reality now.

 

It means this deal is going to happen. If you weren't sending in your $400 deposit before hand because you thought that the deal wasn't going to happen, he's now ASSURING you that this is going to happen so send in your money so you can get one. Because if you don't send it in you won't get a chance, probably ever again, to buy one.

So send in your $400 deposit now!!!

Okay, a couple of things.

Sorry for giving anyone the wrong impression, but what I meant when I said I was "committing to the Q deal" was that the deal will certainly go forward - that wasn't certain until we had an adequate number of deposits. The balance won't be due until the completed parts are ready to ship to the US.

The big deposit I send to Quaife to anchor the deal will go out right after we receive the 14th deposit, which should arrive by the middle of next week (about 01 March).

BUT, that's not the deadline for orders!

They'll receive a deposit large enough to cover 20 units (rather than 16), which will allow us to add extra units to the order up till the third week of March (if there are more than 20 orders, we'll just send more money). This will allow us to take additional orders while waiting for our parts to go int production (our run is scheduled somewhere around late April / early May).

So, #1, the deal's going forward, and #2 orders will be accepted through 25 March, but that's the absolute deadline. [If by some miracle we hit 23 orders, the price goes down to $1149, but that doesn't seem too likely.]
