Got My H3 Kit and Headlight bulbs for my 2k3 max (6000K). The H3 bulbs hit the shield about 1/8 of an inch before they where all the way in. I stuck a screwdriver in the hole and gave a little push on the shield and they went in no problem - YMMV. They seem to work fine, I haven't looked at them in the dark yet so I don't know how the glare will be, but I think they will be fine.

To me the kit looks to be very good quality, I have a pic but Car domain is on the fritz - I will edit to post it later and give info on the glare.

Got the Pic, 6000K Headlights and Fogs (If 3b Spec wants to use the Pic feel free)

Do you want the violet color (12000k) or the custom colored purple (deep purple.) As for your 1996, yes they will fit fine. I sent you a PM.

If you have an 04-07 tC, your car uses an 9006 for the low beam. If you have an 08+ your car uses an H11 for the low beam.

The instructions are for a 9006 kit, but the only thing that is different is the bulb and how it is connected. The rest is the same.

Our kits are 35 watts. As we've tried out a 55 watt kit and noticed no difference in light output. So we just stick to 35 watts.

operatic: Question: I'm interested in the bi-xenon 9004 but I'm just curious how the "high-beams" are created? I can see there is 2 "bulbs" in 1 capsule but is one brighter than the other?? Also, I have a custom glare shield from my old HIDs and I would use it w/ these, there wouldn't be a problem, right?

I have the H3 kit in my 2k3, the bulbs hit the shields inside the fogs but after I gave the shields a little push forward with a screwdriver they fit fine. They are as bright as hell and make a big difference in light output. There does not seem to be any glare problem for oncomming cars, I have been doing quite a bit of night driving for the past week or so and nobody has flashed their high beams at me.

Overall the kit looks like very good quality and install was fairly easy. I have the 6000k fog kit and 6000k replacement bulbs for the headlights. There is a pic about 20 posts up.

The high beam effect is created as the high beam bulb is off set and aimed higher than the low beam. As for your custom glare shield, I am unsure if it would be a problem (in regards to fitment)

For a 6th gen Maxima, the high beams are created by the projector, not the bulb. When you flick on your high beams the projector moves to create the high beam effect.

just a question with the install

Take the black wire from the wiring harness and bolt it to any ground.

what would be a good ground?

Yes, the black wire goes to a ground. Most people tend to ground it to the battery. If not, on the chassis is fine.

Yes, that whitish fog is fine. The bulbs in my car have the same type of deal going on.
