Please add me to the list of satisfied members! Great shipping with wonderful communication. Everything went well! 5000k is perfect bright white, even whiter than factory low beam HID's.

Final score:
Indianapolis Colts - 37
Houston Texans - 17

The Colts are not an easy team to play against and Manning is a freaking machine. They definitely exposed some of the Texans weaknesses and what they need to work on in the future.

That works out to a $60 off list (that's $80 shipped for those bad at math) for the HID kits this weeks "Texans" coupon.

Oh sure, being 4-4 sounds bad, but we're only one win down from the Colts overall >
Final tally this week works out to $88 a kit.

I don't want blue, yet at the same time don't want to be Silverlight white ... what's the recommended temperature then ? I'm very much inclined to place the order but wanna hear from folks who got 5k or 6k and how you arrived at a decision ... thanks

I have a 6k setup (low and high beam) on the wife-mobile. The reason I went that route was based on the number of lumens (read: amount of light output) the 6k had. Bear in mind, I could have gone 5k or 4k which would have given me 400 more lumens but the 2800 lumens of my 6ks work fine (Especially on pitch black Arizona roads)

Not at all unless you want to mount the ballast in a location that may require drilling.

Guys, I am having a problem with ballasts again. The low beam ballast on the right side went bad on me and I replaced it with the new slim ballasts you sent me almost 2 months ago. Ever since, my right low beam has been flickering like mad and just went out. However, the left low beam has the slim ballast and it works fine.

Last Sunday's game...
Ravens - 34
Texans - 28

My god, if you missed last night's game, the Texans almost... ALMOST pulled one out of the rear in the last quarter. Hell of a game regardless.

Coupon code sets the kits at $88.

The D2R HID bulbs on your website the 4300k's are those the Phillips ones or some aftermarket type? I need a new bulb since my passenger side went out last night and want to replace them with the same type that were in there before.

Don't you have to drill to feed the wires through?

I'm interested in purchasing a kit and I've been researching for hours...but can someone clear up what I would need for a 2004 Maxima?

Aren't there 2 lights in each headlight enclosure? People keep referring to the Maxima's "Fog Lights". I know my car has cornering lights--is this what people are calling fog lights or are they referring to the inner (non-projector) bulbs in the headlights?

Everyone seems to recommend the 9006 kit, but there's no highbeams with this kit? Has anyone installed an HID kit with working highbeams or is it not necessary?

Assuming your '04 is like my '05 SE, you currently have a 9012 bulb that does both high and low beam. It is just one bulb, and there is some type of deflector that moves to give you high or low beam. To go to an HID kid, you need to get 9006 bulbs ( one kit ), and you will need to modify the 9006 bulb casing a bit to allow it to fit into the 9012 socket. Whether the foglight is on the inside or outside, I can't remember, but you are correct that the foglight is built into the headlight assembly.

Thanks for the confrmation...my question is now--I don't see any hi-Lo kits in the 9006 size. Has anyone done a conversion with hi-Lo? It's not necessary...but it'd be nice to have the highbeams.

Our 6th gens have only 1 headlight bulb. There is a shutter that raises for high beam and lowers for low beam. The bulb on the inside next to it is the fog light.

You only replace 1 bulb per side for hi and low. Check the 6th gen forum for conversions. The shutter is slightly different.

A recent fog we had in AZ is making me contemplate putting the 55w ballasts for the Edge's high beams or even foglights. Would that make any difference in terms of brightness and range?

Putting HIDs into your high beams to help with fog is actually the worst thing you can really do. All you'll be doing is lighting up the fog.

Best thing to do for nasty weather are 4300k or 3000k bulbs for the fog lights. In HID form both will be yellow (4300k light up more of a halogen yellow, 3000k are the JDM yellow) and will light up more of the road versus lighting up the fog.

could you post pictures of the 12000k and 15000k temp. it seems everyone has different colors. 120000k and 15000k are generally purple, but then some are blue also.

Ours tend to be more blue. These were done a couple years back. Same bulbs, just different housings so you could see the differences.

-- This one was odd out of all of them. Compare it to the 10k and it only really shows up in the projector versus the reflector headlight.

now that i realized your kits come with a harness i'm def ordering from you
1. how does your 50w kits differ from the 35w kits is the brightness noticeable?
2. which is the brightest lumes you have in the 50watts range
3. do you have the hids for reverse yet?

We actually just setup an office off the southwest side near the Carmax

0) The relay harnesses are optional, you just have to select it when ordering. Otherwise we default to the plug-and-play harness.

1) The 50w's are a double edged sword. Yes they are brighter, but you mostly notice it when you live in the sticks. If you live in an urban area, you don't notice that they're brighter. The other catch is, the 50w ballast tend to eat the bulbs faster.

If you want a really bad idea... I've got a 9006-6k/75w kit here that I am legitimately afraid will melt a headlight housing. Trying to see if I can get those in an H1 for some retrofits...

2) The brightest white (excluding the 4300k) is going to be a 5000k. The 4300k, is going to come off as a halogen yellow and that may detract some people from the "white" that they're going for.

3) We're slowly filtering them in and trying them out locally. Primarily it's an issue of how do we warranty the parts, assuming that they really are warranty-able. Other than that, they're cool, but freaking expensive.
