WARNING to 5.5 Gen. Max looking for h3 FOG HID's
No offense to Operatic and the group buy -- I got my h3 kit today, record time, and it looks like a nice kit.
however - I'm disappointed to say the H3 bulbs do NOT fit the OEM fog lenses....the bulb is too long....and the bulb-seat is not properly aligned.
It has to go back - I'm wrecked!
Just to spare you guys with 5.5 maximas (and operatic) the hassle AND disappointment!

I was also going to post that the h3 bulbs for my 02 were too long. However I just cooked the fogs, opened them up and took out the little gray metal sheild thing and put them back together and the bulbs fit fine. It was a little bit of work and I had to also mess with the harnesses a bit for neat fitment but in the end it all went together ok. Here are some pictures of my 10000k fogs and dr2 bulbs. In the near future I'm also going to get 9005's for the brights so they all match. Overall I'm really happy with the way they came out. The third picture is just the 10000k DR2 bulbs and my regular PIAA super white h3's.

I emailed 3b, and they confirmed they now HAVE H3c's avail. in 6000k & 8000k. I'm going to swap-out for the H3c....I needs me some HID, yo!!

**Btw - in order to get the wiring of the HID's in the stock screw-in cap of the fog housing, you really only need to remove the stock wiring and thread the new wires thru the two-hole rubber grommet. It's tight, but it'll work fine. --no cutting or hacking necessary!
gr
Dude....what's going-on over there, and how many of you am I talking to??!
I'd rather have the H3c's, but I appreciate the good c/s and a refund if not.

gr
Yeah - I thought about this....but now you just have two big GLARE PODS on the front of your car with no cutoff line!! --talk about blinding other drivers?!?

So is it a refund, or a replacement with H3c's??? Who's this guy named HANH that's telling me I can get H3c's now???

I just ordered the H3 kit but I would rather not modify the foglight housing and risk blinding other drivers, will the H3C fit right in? What do I have to do to change my order? I got an email saying the H3 kits where backordered, looks like that might have been a good thing.
Sent you a PM also
We haven't had a problem before, but I guess customers knew that they needed to take apart the foglight to allow them to fit. But I Sent you a PM.
I'm interested in a set of replacement Headlights for a 2004 Maxima equipped with factory Xenon lights... I was looking for a Dark Blue color almost approaching Purple but without the Pink or Red coloring. While keeping in mind that I have Projection Headlights should I go with your 10,000K or 12,000K bulbs or if it comes down to it do you think you can create a custom colored bulb for me thanks...
Also could you please give me a estimated delivery time to zip code 20774 in Maryland.

H3c's in 5.5 OEM Fogs
I have to say - they Fit perfect into the OEM housing and look GREAT! Light output is very good....what a VAST improvement over the OEM filament bulbs!
They are 6000k color, and ARE just a bit more blue than the stock 4300k's on the Max. - and I have about 60k miles on the stockers. ~color may have shifted to no more than 5000k, but not likely -- they're still pretty "sunlight-colored".
Looks like I'm going to have to buy new bulbs for the low-beams in 6k now!
I would encourage 5.5 gen max owners to NOT modify the Fog Light Shield inside the OEM lenses....you'll loose your cut-off points, and turn your fogs into huge GLARE PODS.
Get the H3c's.
Much - much easier, and the L/O is really good despite the tiny size of these bulbs!
**Thanks to Operatic and the team for taking-care of me, and getting the new bulbs OVERNIGHT at no cost to me. EXCELLENT customer service guys!
I wish NISSAN was so good!

I never got a PM from ya partner. If you could send it again, I'll be more than happy to answer your question.
Thanks man, sorry about that in the first palce. Enjoy the HIDs, and if you know anyone else that needs some HIDs, you know where to send em now
Opt is the man, I had a problem with the H3 being too big. Needless to say there is a h3c bulb package waiting at my house when I get home from work. He even provides postage to send them back. Needless to say opt is awesome, I'll be ordering 2 more sets soon.
Hi, payment sent to fafara_rascon@hotmail.com from elmoreno75@hotmail.com on 10/14/2007 130$ for 6000k bulb 9006. Can I have the tracking number? Thanks
