hey operatic, do you have 50 or 55 watt D2R replacement bulbs? If so, are they still $60 shipped?

i have a pair of your 4300k 35 watt bulbs, but i need them brighter

I'm sorry man, there is no such thing as a D2R bulb that has a wattage. It is actually the ballast that makes your bulbs brighter. If you wanted brighter low beams for your factory HIDs, you'd have to put in higher wattage ballast. And at that point I see you cutting and splicing to make things work.

oh really? you know what, i do remember something like that now that i think about it.. so the actual wattage of the bulb isn't higher, but i remember other vendors advertising "higher wattage" D2R bulbs... so what about the bulbs actually makes them brighter than the standard 35 watt bulb?

04 Maxima

I have a 2004 Maxima SE with regular 9012 headlights. I want to get HIDs. What do I need to do and how much will it cost me?

I've seen the supposed 50w bulbs and they are no brighter than any other HID bulb. It is the ballast that determines the brightness of the bulbs.

You'll need a 9006 kit partner and it would be $130 shipped.

Hey I bought a set of h3c (mini bulbs) for my fog lights last year, and for the past two months my right on doesn't come and and the left one comes on when it wants. I also have the slim ballast with it. Will you warranty it?

I installed 6000K D2s and 3000K fogs, just sharing the pic cause I've been whining for pics for a year.

They really rock.

One thing though, is 50w ballast too much for the bulbs to handle? I had one that failed after 9 months, and I just changed both, and the 10 month old other bulb was in a really bad shape, almost melted, etc. Are the bulbs supposed to last with 50w ballasts ????

I've had a 6000k H1 bulb go out on me although I know it's been over a year so I'm out of warranty. Could you PM me with a price for a replacement (or pair if you don't sell single bulb)?

And my other question is, for everybody who doesnt already have HIDS stock on their Max like myself, will just buying a kit and dropping them in halogen housings produce that annoying glare that so many cars on the road have?

Umnitza's $50 kit is analog, ours is digital. His shipping is roughly 6-9 business days last time I checked, We use overnight shipping.

Also the glare is not that bad

H3 and H3c's are different
H3c's are about the size of your pinky nail. They are meant for cars that need an H3c bulb such as the 5th generation maxima's fog lights.

Also we only carry H3c in 6000k and 8000k.

Question

I have an '04 Maxima SE, Radiant Ember (burnt orange) with factory lights. I just ordered LED taillights in Black and I'm looking to upgrade my headlights/foglights as well. What would you recommend I purchase from you? How much? Do you sell them both as a kit or no?

I'm a complete novice so any advice you give is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Operatic,

I have read what seems to be conflicting things in this thread about the 3k vs. the custom yellow color. The pics I quoted below have been referred to as the both 3k color and the custom yellow color. The color in those pics is what I would want, so would that be the 3k or the custom color yellow. Basically I want a color similar to the lexus yellow fogs.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

If it is for your 2005 Nissan maxima, you would need a 9006 for the low beams and your fog lights are H3. Last time I saw a 2005 Maxima in person, the low and high beam are on the same bulb and a reflector shield drops to create the high beam.

So you would just need 2 kits to do low, high and fog lights

Yes, for a 2006 Maxima you would need 2 kits to do the driving lights and the fog lights. And you are correct that they are a 9006 and H3 kit respectively.

Your 2004 Maxima uses a 9006 for the low beam/high beam and an H3 for the fog lights. You really cannot go wrong with 8k with the Radiant Ember color car. Also we sell them both as kits so you know

My fault, the 3k's are deeper yellow partner and if you want the same color than that is what you would want I also sent you a PM

I just ordered 6000k 50W for my headlights and 6000k H3 50W kit for my fogs......My car got the headlights and fogs in the same piece, so I figured matching them would look better? Any opinions and does anyone have a pic of them two together?
